just because the poor ppl live in the muslim country that was the birthplace of islam does not mean they have to live upto being great muslims. its almost as if its a sazaa to being born in saudi arabia that you have to prove ureself as being a pious muslim. sheesh , get over it
Exactly thats why nobody should make a claim that Saudi is so Islamic, its NOT!
i just read a news article few days back in arabnews, local newspaper of saudi it says a maid who went out to throw the garbage had been kidnaped and gang raped by 7 mens for several days and then they left her outside her home... and the culprits not been arrested yet and this and this type of many incidents r happening here and the victims r mostly maids or expatriates ....i m in ksa but never feel comfortable to think abt going out alone
I heard countless of similar stories from the residents when I visited there.
The local 'islamic' women not ashamed to have sex with any plumber, painter, etc. visiting the house for these jobs. Similar stories of the local women in UAE too but much less extent.
One of such stories in abu dhabi. In one of the royal families of abu dhabi, kid of a Pakistani pathan cab driver being brought up and the arab husband of this woman does not know it's not his kid but that of a cab driver :) (relaiable source)

PEOPLE … OPEN UR EYES ARAB TRADERS WENT TO PAKISTAN AND MARRIED WOMEN FROM THERE AND BROUGHT THEM BACK HERE… THAT IS WHERE BALOCHHII IN ARABS HAVE COME FROM:smack:
stopppp thinking u can sit in western countries and criticize our home places… the countries we live in …
what is wrong??!!!??!? if this was positive criticism then i might have even thought about it but this is all one sided crap ... like the countries u live in have no problems whatsoever and you can brag about it ... leave uae alone!!! :@
I lived in Saudi Arabia, and have no desire to go and live there, same goes for my siblings. Just not out cup o joe I suppose. For some super duper opportunity I may move there for a handful of years but the opportunity has to be significant. I was being pursued by a middle east telecom company, Mobility a couple of years ago, and while the package was good, it did not make up for packing up moving, moving back and living in KSA. We do have family members who are there and who like it but most of them only have the comparison of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in mind.
pay scale differential is a reality for many companies. the pay scale is based on where you are coming from, obviously it is harder to attract someone from europe or US than from India or Pakistan.
any country but saudiarab ..women cant get out of their home ....they cant drive ...everwhre they go they have to be accompnied by a family member...anyway ma moms is never gonna agree to move to saudi arab .. ager aik din bi ghar pe band rehna parha to shes gonna die ..yahaah pe humhain kabi window nahi band karnai detien q k un ka dum ghutnai lagta hai:o .
Not covering face is not a problem, but probably not covering head could get you some warning.
Do they give warnings to clean shaved men for not growing beards? And really who are these people to warn other for covering their heads? Islam doesn't say to beat women for not covering heads.
I will wear face covering if I'm in Yemen for the sake of respecting their culture but in Saudi I wouldn't want to wear it because of muttawas. If I see a mutawa coming near me I'll tear him apart.
They have no mention of women's right in their so called islamic law and that's just pathetic.
There is no kingdomship or monarchy in Islam, so where did they get it from?
