Saudi Arabia

Re: Saudi Arabia

you were born and raised there but they won't count you as Saudi if your origin is Pakistani.

But it proves that mahol of Saudi is not Islamic as some people claim.

so? atleast they arent hypocrites like the western world. you think the white born and bred brits take foreign born and bred brits as their own??? there is more racism in england than anywhere else in the world. if you dont wnat to accept someone as ure own, then its better to just be upfront bout it and say we wont give u citizenship...

even here in denmark... if a brown person who is born and bred danish does something bad, suddenly they are foreigners.. if the same person does something good, they become danish...

but rarely do they acknolwedge a colored person as danish in the media.. its always foreigner

West specially England is far more less racist than Arabs. You'll see many whites marrying South Asians and Africans but in Saudi you'll hardly see an arab married to a south Asian.

In west people recieve same amount of money regardless of their colour, race or nationality but In Saudi Arab Saudis get the most, then whites from west, then browns born in west, then Indians then Pakistanis and then Bangladeshis.

Here in West there is law for racial abuse, you can get arrested for only making racial remarks.

And lastly, Saudis are supposed to be muslims but their actions are worse than non muslims.

just because the poor ppl live in the muslim country that was the birthplace of islam does not mean they have to live upto being great muslims. its almost as if its a sazaa to being born in saudi arabia that you have to prove ureself as being a pious muslim. sheesh , get over it

No, it's because they claim the law of their country is based on Qur'an and some people live in Saudi claim it to be Islamic. I'm sorry but it's not true.

I'm not talking about sindhi or hatever saudis....i was talking about white saudis....saudis who like being called white.
Do you know any pakistani person married to a white saudi?

The saudis do more than cursing and throwing things, they break windows of your new car.

I've heard about the payment by racial category in Arab countries like Saudi from so many people, muslims and non muslims.

May be your father should double check his payments, may be he's getting paid less.

There are so many stories of how Arabs treat their South Asian employes. I don't need to write them all because I don't have time.

Sometimes they don't pay South Asian cleaners and labours anything.

Re: Saudi Arabia

you are going around in circles and dont really have anything to base your arguments on sweetheart.

white saudis? what hte hell is that? a new breed of saudis?

neways... forget it .. looks like your thread wasnt opened for educational purposes.. dont think you are open to others opinions... kaha sunay per yakeen math rakhein hareem, its silly to do so :)

and u home school your children, you of all ppl need to be very very very open minded to be able to give your children a well rounded off view of the world. you cant teach them what you have heard and not seen. hardly a wise thing to do and would just make ignorant souls out of them .. just my 2 cents.

but ya, end of discussion from this end :)

Re: Saudi Arabia

^Yes, may be everyone I know from Saudi lies to me about Saudis and their racism and sexual frustration, may be they want me to stay in Britain. And all the news, reports and stories are false because they are against Saudis.

I am open minded and I do question and criticize the authorities.... you might have seen my thread about abortion rates in the UK.

I'm amazed that you are trying to reject everything negative that I stated about Saudi Arab and the things you can't reject you start comparing them with West.

You haven't heard about white Saudis, you might have not heard about Karantina either.

Please answer one question, Does Saudi Arab has an Islamic mahol? If yes, How?

Re: Saudi Arabia

Please read how many rights do you women have in Saudi.

Re: Saudi Arabia

I've been told by many people who lived there (including goras and desis) that Saudi is a fantastic place to live, as long as your kids are young. Once they reach junior high/high school, you have to go cause they don't have international schools for that age group?? Don't know if that is true. But, I guess it has more to do with kids wanting/needing to have more freedom by that age. Otherwise, everybody says that life there is great.

Edit: What your hobbies and interests are also plays a huge factor in if you will like life there.

If I had to choose, I would probably stay away from Saudi and go to Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey or Oman (which is apparently also amazing).

But in the eyes of the law both have equal rights in western countries. I have been to Saudi and seen the so called compounds as well (our company used to have a coupe on the permanent basis for visiting employees). Jail is still a jail even it is full of all the comforts. Police is biased if you have any dispute with a suadi.

Saudi is a place for women who dont like to drive, who like to sleep late in the mornings and basically have nothing else to do. TV is the height of the entertainment. No theatres, no art galleries, no fashion shows. The only thing they have in abundunce is the malls - but I wonder how many malls a family can enjoy - but then who am I to say anything, some people love hanging out in the malls as family.

What about Public Libraries with literature from all over the world?

Re: Saudi Arabia

And is it true if you not covering your face muttawas will arrest you and beat you up?

Re: Saudi Arabia

hello,, welcome to saudi arabia.. heheheh.. i m 15,, i hv alwz lived here.. n yeah,, all my family frends r modernized and no1 covers their faces.. lol.. n u knw,, i alwz go out alone..

khawateen,

Im sorry to say but even though you say you were raised in saudia but your views about the life in saudia is not based on facts. The whole world knows the truth about the 'islamic' middle eastern states not only through media but by their own experience of living there. You are not the only one who was brought up there.

Many of my relatives / close family have lived in saudia / UAE in the middle east and Canada / US and UK. I have first hand knowledge from them of living in these places. Saudia is the worst place of all for the racism and women's insecurity. For racism, UAE is on the second place in the middle eastern countries.

None of my relatives in any of the western countries complained of any sort of racial abuse there or difficulties in living their lives normally.

The most horrified stories were that of sexual frustration of both local men and women living in Saudia. The most horrified from UAE were that of racism.

My advice to everyone will always be, if you wish your kids to have a normal psychological health, never take them to raise them in Saudia and UAE.

One of my uncles living in Washington have two daughters and looked into the possibility of moving back from US upon the insistence of his parents. He visited UAE to check out the place and he thought in the US his daughters had the best atmosphere to grow up than the self acclaimed 'modern' muslim society of UAE.

Another Canadian uncle had a great job offer in Saudia which he took up but he did not bring his two sons to live with him in Saudia because he said he wanted them to be in a healthy environment to grow up into the best humans free from any psychological and other issues.

Both of these uncles do not want to provide their kids a severely deficient 'mahol' in all ways. And want them to develop into normal, intelligent, positive human beings. Both said mahol wise, if they had to choose between Saudia, UAE or Pakistan to bring up their kids, they would prefer Pakistan as there is no chance of 'racism' so much prevalent in the arab countries.

 it’s true. I experienced a hit on the table, not a direct one though when I visited the place but a cousin who was brought up there was hit on with a real big stick by a mutawwa on the street directly cz her arm showed up a bit from the wrist :hehe:

Women abuse so common by street mutawwas… So much of an ‘Islamic’ mahol

Re: Saudi Arabia

....

That is Taliban way, not Islamic way :naraz:

Riding with non-mehrams, is this Islam in Saudia Arabia?

Re: Saudi Arabia

This is something i never understood, saudi authorities do not allow women to drive, yet it is fine to go alone with a non mehram man ...

do logon ke darmayan teesra koun? shaitan ...
