We like it or not, 1000s of girls and guys take decision about marrying (or not marrying) someone on the basis of job, education, age, height, color, family etc etc. They do not reject others after trying to "get to know them".
In fact I'll even go a step ahead and say its very nice of the guy's that they told PCG about their preferences. They could have played around and ditched her later on....

no. to me, this is about the prevalent idea that the guy can be 40+, whereas the girl has to be 20-25. Most of it has to do with the mothers.

From what I know, things are improving a lot. I have seen girls (or their parents) rejecting a rishtas because guy was in middle or late 30s (and girl was late 20s) and I do not see anything wrong in that too. Its their preference
You are perhaps talking about a fairy tale world where people make decision free of all these parameters (age, education, color etc etc)
Heck I even say if guy want GORI larki, he has all right to look for girl with fair color (as ghatiya soch as it sound). Only right he does not have is to insult some girl just because she is not gori.
