Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone
I've been wanting to get the oil for a while after reading the old thread, how do you use it with the witch hazel? Just apply it after you used the witch hazel toner?

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone
I've been using Rose hip oil stop pit recommended for a week, n I can notice softer n more even tone.
I'm using this twice a day
Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone
I've been using Rosehip Oil for about two months now, and my skin has never been clearer: much more even-toned, more fresh and glowy and finally, no more pimples!!! I've also been using it on a scar I have on my right thumb...it's no longer raised and bumpy and is much lighter in colour. I'm one of those people who hears about things and am the first to jump on the bandwagon to try them out, but I've always been disappointed and empty-pocketed. But not this time. It really is a wonder product. Thanks Stoppit. :)

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone
rose hip oil is supposed to be applied a couple times a day for there to be any effect, that's what i read online, it's used to fade hyperpigmentation and scars

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone
Hey CE - should be fine. Maybe just do a spot test a few times though.
My cousin just had a baby and she read that it can be used for baby massage so she's bought some too.
Pepsi - Yes it can. My best friend just uses the oil at night and doesn't use a moisturiser. I only use a moisturiser for the spf now, because after using the oil, there isn't really any need.
For UK peoples, naturallythinking has a christmas sale 15% off everything at the moment.
And finally, I don't use an oil based eyemakeup remover as they usually have petroleum based oil which is drying and not good for the eye area. I use the simple oil free eye makeup remover. After dampening a cotton pad with this, I drop a drop or two of Olive Oil or Rosehip oil on top, then take off my eyemakeup. Mascara, fluidline - everything comes off much more easily and your eyes are left nice and moisturised.

Oh Stoppit, we have been using it on my nephew for a few weeks now, mashaAllah it's helped so much.x
Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone
I've been reading good reviews on this; can also be used in hair for dry brittle hair. I bet if you mix it in with some coconut oil, it should help.
Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone
^good to know, did you try it on your hair and how did it turn out? i'll definitely try it if it does help the hair
Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone
Just started using this again!! been reading a lot of good reviews about it, so I decided to give it a try.
It broke me out the first time I used it, so I stopped using it, but then I realised less is more lol...You only need like, 1 drop.
Hopefully, it'll help even out my skin tone and help with pigmentation from acne.
Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone
^^it broke me out too the first few times i used it and i rarely get acne on my face but that's a good point, i put too many drops of it just in that one area. i'm glad i'm not the only one that happened to, will start using it again.
btw, has anybody used it for under the eye discoloration?
It does but u need to b patience with it, I also have a facial done once a month and I can say i've notice even tone, softness and more hydrated skin

DW, you're not the only one.
I was so upset when it broke me out. I had such high hopes, especially after reading all the raving reviews. But then I remembered reading in a review that less is more, so I wanted to give it another go to see if it works. Only using one drop of the oil now, lets see how it goes.
Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone
I’ve had problem skin prone to white heads/spots for as long as I can remember and had blemishes/marks as a result. I’ve tried a lot of stuff and given up. Before trying rose hip oil, I’d actually bought the Clinique’s anti blemish skin care thingmajig. Possibly the most ineffective stuff for the price I paid for it. It’s so over-rated. Ugh..I think I just fell for the white lab-coat effect and the Clinique rep made it sound all so scientific and convincing.
Then, recently in the summer I was stressed out with exams and stuff and my skin went crazy. Probably the worst it’d ever been. I had days where I just wanted to peel a layer off so I could have normal skin. I didn’t touch it for that period, and gave up. The only thing that got me through was thinking things like ‘oh well if people can’t see beyond spots and stuff then they’re not worth it’ ![]()
I’ve been using rose hip oil religiously and it has replaced my usual moisturiser. But on top of that I’ve also been more careful with what I eat, a lot more fruits, make an effort to drink more water. Oh and most importantly like stoppit advised not to touch my skin. After doing all this, two months later I’m starting to see a difference even though it’s slow. It’s taken a lot of patience to not give up and unlike I wished it isn’t an overnight potion.
Also you have to be careful with the type of skin you have and use it accordingly I suppose. Like a few mentioned it did break me out at first but that’s because I have combination skin. I had to be careful not to use too much in the T-zone area but on the cheeks I use it quite generously.
