Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

member Stoppit mentioned it’s benefits here, I haven’t bought the oil yet but i realized the vitamin c tablets that i’ve been crushing to apply to my skin for the last couple months had rose hip all this time, it has helped a bit with evening out skin tone where there was a tiny bit of discoloration but not sure if the oil has a stronger effect.

Any positive experiences from anybody here with Rose Hip Oil?

Re: Rose Hip Oil

^there you are, stoppit :), i'm just wondering if i should buy it now or wait a while, I'm on a tight budget this month b/c i lost to a couple temptations on amazon, so for a month i'm on a spending freeze but the oil is on my wishlist on amazon

if the effects are that incredible i'm thinking of buying it

Re: Rose Hip Oil

Is it the trilogy one? I think it's too expensive.... it's only 20-30ml and that amount doesn't last me too long at all.

I'd rather get the 100ml + dropper bottle from naturally thinking. I think shipping was something like $7. Details are in that thread. Or find a similar company based in the US.

I wouldn't go without it now.

Re: Rose Hip Oil

Stoppit, this exact one, right?

Re: Rose Hip Oil

does it have to be in oil form or can it be combined in a cream like this one

La Bella Rosa Mosqueta Rose Hip Oil with Vitamin-E Cream 4 oz. Jar

If the key ingredient is not listed among at least the first five ingredients....that it's not that potent.

Re: Rose Hip Oil

does this bother sensitive skin?

my skin doesnt like essential oils and stuff...does this happen to be something like that? i really want to try it.

Re: Rose Hip Oil

I wouldn't use a cream or expect the same results as from the actual oil.

Princessjojo - yes, that's the right one.

Pepsi - Rosehip is a carrier oil, not an essential oil, so it's not nearly as strong. A couple of people, including myself have sensitive skin and haven't had a problem with it. It's very light as well.

I recommend using it combined with the witch hazel hydrolat as described in the thread I linked. Makes it much easier and more pleasant to apply to the face.

Re: “Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone”

i’m so tempted to buy the oil…talking to myself…i won’t buy anything much next month…i’ll be totally good in december…there’s nothing talking me out of buying it so buying it is the only option right this second…:devil:i’ll just have to buy it:biggthumb:

Re: "Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone"

I have been using it.

I don't think its done much in terms of discoloration but I have found it much better than any moisturizer so far.

I like the feel of it on my skin, it doesn't make my face oily or break me out. Its nice under makeup and in colder weather too.

Re: "Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone"

ok i am soooo buying it, $40 foundations be darned!

Re: "Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone"

I knowww...

Re: "Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone"

how long have you been using it?

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

So if you have discolouration on your face - say your cheeks are fairer than your upper lip, you apply to the entire face?

What about using it for darker areas like knees? elbows? under arm pigmentations? etc.

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

Hey Daffy, you can use it everywhere, it just helps fade hyperpigmentation, it doesn't lighten your overall skin tone but does make it smoother and fresher.

I've been using it on my knees and it's helped a lot. I'm not sure about the underarms because usually they are grey because of the hair below the surface. If you read my Laser thread, you will get some idea about hair growth. Not all hair is present at any given time (even when it looks like you have maximum growth) so even after a wax, you will have hairs that are still below the surface, these cause the area to be darker in colour because the density and thickness in the underarms is so high.

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

i got my rose hip seed oil in the mail.....woohoo! i shall apply it and we'll see if it has any effect on that one area of discoloration, will report back

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

nisha which one did u end up ordering?

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

from amazon.com, it was $6.75, so a pretty decent deal. i did notice that it absorbs into the skin really quickly unlike other oils, nice :k:

Same here. Have been using it twice a day. I think I do see benefits, but not sure. But I really really like it as a moisturizer and would probably continue using it even if I never see any improvements of discoloration or fading of scars. Have been meaning to get some witch hazel to use with it but keep forgetting, will try to pick some up this weekend
