^ wow thanks for sharing! I think i will give this a try too, i have combination skin and tend to get tiny bumps on forehead so maybe i should use it very carefully there.

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

i just got mine yesterday :) excited and real hopeful that this will help me. like ppl mentioned above i only used a drop of it and didn't need a anything else.

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

go to morning sun or GNC. i'm forgetting where i got mine but any health store. however buying online is way cheaper and u need cold pressed.

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

i have been using it for a while now almost a yr. its a good moisturizer and make-up removal. somedays i use it as hair conditioner too. it doesn't tone out or remove scars for me or even soften fine lines under my eyes but then i use several things at the same time so i don't use rose-hip religiously. but this is one oil i love using.

@automne77 if you are in Toronto, it's available at The Big Carrot. If not, any Whole foods store would carry it. I prefer TBC because its prices are lower than what you get at WF

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

Is there a particular brand which does better rosehip oil? I see online that boots has Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip, is that any good?

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

is it ok 2 use for combo-oily skin?

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

It's the same as any other good quality one, just overpriced. Any skin type can use it but if one has oily skin, using witch hazel alongside it is better.

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

Just reviving this read.

I previously tried rosehip oil many years ago and didn’t notice any difference in my skin, previously the oil I used was colourless and had no smell. Recently though, with all the media hype , and some research i purchased it again but this time buying virgin and organic (Organic Virgin Rosehip Seed Oil for Scars and Stretch Marks Cold Pressed and Unrefined).

This time, the oil i purchased was a deep orange colour and had a distinctive smell to it - it’s only been a few days and i’d be lying if i said i saw drastic results but have noticed a slight more unified tone-again not dramatic but postive all the same alhamdulillah. Insha’allah i’m going to stick with it and will update.

Was just wondering - anyone want to update with thier results?

Stoppit and others. I bought this on the, back of stops thread but really can't stand the smell. Especially as it lingers.anyone have any ideas on what to mix it with or mask the smell

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

u mean rosehip doesn't smell like rosewater? :(

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

I haven't noticed any smell at all in the rose hip oil I use (naturally thinking brand)

Re: Rose Hip Oil- for Evening out Skintone

I just went and double checked my Rosehip. I’ve never smelled anything when I put it on. If I hold my close really close to the bottle, I get a very faint smell but it’s nothing like rosewater. Just a very faint oil smell.

For reference, I buy my oils here: Carrier/Exotic Oils

I bought the organic one at whole foods and it kinda smells like dry "methi seeds" and is almost yellow/orange in color.
