Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
so proof of indus being sacred is there in a scripture which was not written by aryans?.....you are contradicting yourself.

Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
vedas written by vedic aryan consider ganga as sacred and gangetic indians considered indus as sacred. Good going:D .
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
Nope, the Ganges was just a location in the Rig Veda. Just another stream, the big boss of which was the River Indus. Ganges was not sacred (or if it was, it was of minor importance to the Vedic Aryans). The River Indus was the mighty river to these Pakis, as is stated in the Rig Veda many times again and again.
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
there is only one sukta called nadi sukta which mentions rivers. it clearly starts of with ganga and yamuna. and only tributaries of indus are menioned!
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
Why lie Singhular? I can easily look it up. Here is the full verse from the Rig Veda about the Rivers. The first river mentioned is the Indus, and it says it’s the mightiest river of them all. The Ganges gets a minor mention.
HYMN LXXV. The Rivers.
1. THE singer, O ye Waters in Vivasvan’s place, shall tell your grandeur forth that is beyond compare.
The Rivers have come forward triply, seven and seven. Sindhu in might surpasses all the streams that flow.
2 Varuna cut the channels for thy forward course, O Sindhu, when thou rannest on to win the race.
Thou speedest o’er precipitous ridges of the earth, when thou art Lord and Leader of these moving floods.
3 His roar is lifted up to heaven above the earth: he puts forth endless vigour with a flash of light.
Like floods of rain that fall- in thunder from the cloud, so Sindhu rushes on bellowing like a bull.
4 Like mothers to their calves, like milch kine with their milk, so, Sindhu, unto thee the roaring rivers run.
Thou leadest as a warrior king thine army’s wings what time thou comest in the van of these swift streams.
5 Favour ye this my laud, O Ganga, Yamuna, O Sutudri, Parusni and Sarasvati:
With Asikni, Vitasta, O Marudvrdha, O Arjikiya with Susoma hear my call.
6 First with Trstama thou art eager to flow forth, with Rasa, and Susartu, and with Svetya here,
With Kubha; and with these, Sindhu and Mehatnu, thou seekest in thy course Krumu and Gomati.
7 Flashing and whitely-gleaming in her mightiness, she moves along her ample volumes through the realms,
Most active of the active, Sindhu unrestrained, like to a dappled mare, beautiful, fair to see.
8 Rich in good steeds is Sindhu, rich in cars and robes, rich in gold, nobly-fashioned, rich in ample wealth.
Blest Silamavati and young Urnavati invest themselves with raiment rich in store of sweets.
9 Sindhu hath yoked her car, light-rolling, drawn by steeds, and with that car shall she win booty in this fight.
***So have I praised its power, mighty and unrestrained, of independent glory, roaring as it runs. ***

Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
Because you are a “sikh” guy with turben : If you were hindu guy with “lungi”
Then You would know the difference
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
okay…dont these rivers originate in india?..besides, just because one civilization focused more in your region, it doesn’t mean actually.
honestly i didn’t know sindhu and indus are the same.
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
I am a hindu....and yes there is no difference.
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
huh?
How come you name is not
like sherma/chopra/verma
but its singh?? are you a lying to me cuz I have Indian friends And I would know:naraz:
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
Besides, vedic aryans who are composers of rig veda(according to you), who actually came somewhere from central asia, have to mention rivers of india?...though now go to pakistan actually. and again please dont say veda vyas didn't compile vedas. i mean he divided vedas actually in four. and he was also the one who composed mahabharata
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
dont hindus have surname like singh?
haven’t you heard about hindus like chandra chur singh, mulayam singh, amar singh, ranjit singh etc etc???![]()
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
honestly i didn't know sindhu and indus are the same.
Who cares where they originate. The point is the Indus was where the Vedic people lived, that is why it was sacred to them. The banks of it, the country around it.
Only the Yamuna and Ganges originate from Bharat. Sindhu = Indus in the Rig Veda, and Sapta Sindhu in the Rig Veda is approximately the same as Pakistan is.
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
This isn't important. But different people composed and wrote the Vedas and the Mhabharata.
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
why???....the aryans of central asia have nothing to do with vedas. and now please dont tell veda vyasa didn't compile mahabharata or vedas. after all vedas are name after krishna dwaipayana veda vyasa himself
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
Look. Aryans from Central Asia came to Pakistan, and wrote the Rig Veda. Whoever this Veda Vyasa is, if he was not one of them, he did not write it. Clear, I hope.
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
…this is your theory…i think you should look for rishis mentioned in rig veda. Rishi bhrgu, rishi angirasa etc. they were the composers of various mantras. how come angirasa is mentioned in mahabharata which is composed by gangetic indians as you yourself said?..
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
^^ What are you trying to prove? Why do I want to know what a rishi is? It's all very simple. The Vedic Aryans of Pakistan wrote the Rig Veda which is why they mention the Indus River so much in their book, the Rig Veda. See now?
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
there are many things to consider dear. you said, mahabharata was composed gangetic indians. But composer of rig vedic mantra plays a crucial role in mahabharata. how come, if both have no connection?. besides, veda vyasa argument is always there. you rejected that vyasa composed mahabharata. go and ask this to a learned indian so-called aryan brahmin, he will give you an apt reply. and vedas dont talk anything about central asia. somewhere aryans should have mentioned it if they had composed it. Besides, some of the mantras in other vedas mention mantras of rig veda. that too composed by so-called dravidians. i think this debate will go on for ever. Well you can give your last post and give your conclusion as well.
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
Singhulahoop, it's mentioned in the Vedas about Aryans in almost every verse you nut. Basically the Rig Veda is just hymns praising the Aryan gods for giving them victories and wealth (the Aryan Gods like Indra etc). Will you also stop going on about Veda Vesa or whoever. I dont know him, and you've not given a reference.
Prove to me "But composer of rig vedic mantra plays a crucial role in mahabharata." I can prove that the person/s that wrote the Rig Veda was a lighter skinned group, the people who did the Mahabharata were a darker skinned people.
Re: roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
this is about veda vyas. vedas are named after him…the same veda vyas who also compiled 18 other puranas as well which mentions all mythological stories of current day hinduism.
