Almost in all cultures rivers are part of folklore and culture. River are the source of survival in all agricultural areas, be it Nile of Egypt or Ganga of India.
If we talk about Sindh, its culture is based on three things.
(1) Poetry of Shah Latif and his characters like Sassi, Marvi, etc
(2) Qalandar Shahbaz devoution
And
(3) above all love for river Sindh.
People still name their children Sindhu and Mehran. Many folk songs are related to flow of river Sindh.
How do you see importance of rivers in your culture?
Are there any songs related to such rivers?
Do they form part of folk tales and folk lore?

you forgot Biyas and included Sindh. Anyways, which one of these have you visited?
I remeber that in Cholistan, there was a tradition whereby newly married couple had to visit river for prosperity of their life. It was consider bad omen for the couple and whole village, if no such visit was made.
