rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

Wow no wonder you guys have the reputation that you have, it is always the cowards that try to bully the ladies. If this is what people want to go back to the sewer for than so be it

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

Gawd damn.

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

Bad things happen in YOUR society too, Eliminator.....they happen ALL the frickin' time.....and the perpetrators of these crimes are undeterred by religion, the pricks of their conscience, sounding of orange alarms, the wide broadcasting of red alerts, and the dire consequences of breaking the laws. It happens everywhere. Associating these acts with religion or a race is exactly the kind of warped, tunnel-visioned mentality that breeds animosity. That's exactly the mentality you're conveying and you are blind to it.

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

With the way the world is today, I don't think there are many generalizations that hold true anymore, certainly not ones about girls raised in Pakistan vs. girls raised in the West. I've seen every personality type from both places. Family, location, education, and such might tell you some things, but there really is no guarantee, especially because people have lives that are increasingly private and separate from the rest of the families. You just have to be willing to take time to get to know a person, and avoid mapping some stereotype onto her.

Do women raised abroad perhaps face more rishta issues? Yeah, probably, especially because parents have to pay special attention to building a large enough social circle of Muslims/Pakistanis, and that develops over years. But with that knowledge in mind, you can prepare yourself when the time comes, and open your mind to the fact that the best spouse for your child is not necessarily who you pictured ages ago.

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

Yeah, but try as hard as we may, we have nothing on the inbreeding South, or the Vatican when it comes to touching children :bummer:. The West is also the largest producer and consumer of child pornography. We couldn’t even produce a single bed-wetting twisted serial killer, so yeah you have us beat there too :bummer:. See what I did?

I hope this time you are rewarded for your e-bravery. Please don’t slap me with tofu.

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

You are comparing the safety and security and law an order situation in Pakistan to the west, seriously??? I personally don't know of any girl or child that has been touched inappropriately here, many Pakistani girls had shared with me that they got touched on a regular basis in Pakistan going to school or shopping, the pervs would have fingers sticking out in the female compartments of the buses. I bet you anything that a good looking girl goes out for a walk at night time ad will get assaulted by your pious country man,

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

Hah

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

Women in Pakistan are no longer so backwards. There is a progressive class but then all around the world there is increasing extremism and religiosity. And with that comes a lot of cultural baggage like - girl should be married by 25, preferably 18 in some areas. It's like Muslims are going backwards in their development in some ways with the excuse of religion

But there is definitely a class of girls in Pakistan - ambitious and driven and if it comes to a rishta vs their career, they'll put off stupid rishtas and complete their education first. I'm seeing a lot of girls going for masters now before marriage.

But then there are families that have gone backwards and are obsessed with girls marrying young. Wanna being religion into this? They forget most of the women the Prophet SAW married...

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

Take a nice whiff of the sewer and ponder about your life, I cant wish things to be any worse, I believe our aircrafts deliver tofu on a regular basis.

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

In all the many summers I have visited Pakistan, I have never, Alhumdolillah, been assaulted in the bazaars, streets, etc. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen at all; I am simply sharing my personal experience. As for the post which you've quoted, I am not comparing the efficacy of law enforcement between Pakistan and the West; nor was my intent to downplay the importance of law enforcement. What I meant is that the person who is hell-bent on committing a crime won't be deterred by religion, or security measures, or even consequences of breaking a law. Such people are everywhere and it's wrong to associate it with Islam as Eliminator has done in his post; do you not see anything wrong with that line of thought? It's bad enough that people who engage in such vile acts portray a bad image of Muslims.....which the West (media, etc) will take advantage of.....it's worse when Muslims themselves attach such acts to Islam thus perpetuating negative stereotypes.

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

When most of the population is like this than it is not stereo type, When I went there for a week I did not see one person that was honest in their dealings, started with custom, immigration, porters, taxi, Dood wala, butcher, mixing bricks with chilli, even selling fake life saving drugs all the time saying namaz and tasbeeh, where I come from I respect what you do not what you say, I see amazing people on a daily basis, my nephews canoe club is run by volunteers, they come and scrub and clean and fix and repair stuff for free, they volunteer to drive kids thousands of miles without a penny in compensation, yes they show skin, have a drink, dance and yet do good for society..If someone shows me a hijab and has done nothing to better society, they can keep their Hijab. The volunteer President of the club did two 18hr shifts for the team at the Casino...with no compensation, I audited the club and not a penny missing. I never lock my door or my car.

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

What does mixing bricks with chilli mean?

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

Eliminator, you will not get to know every muslim well enough to see their actions. That said, you can't rush to assume that every bearded, tasbeeh-rolling guy is a child-molestor. Where is the logic in that? For those whose actions do contradict their words or professed beliefs......criticize the actions or the person....not Islam. Islam does not condone or encourage hypocrisy and corruption. If you blame the religion itself for these two ills, then that right there shows you need to learn more about the religion.

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

RV -

My response was pertaining to the topic...I am not debating who is more religious. I understand you felt like debating it but I didn't.

Maybe I might debate it if such a topic were to present itself and if that was even what I meant. But it wasn't.

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

They mix the red brick powder to mix with chilli, watch the video below, mixing hair removal powder and fertilizer n milk.

Sar e Aam -Milk mai milawat-hair removel powder -5th January 2013 Full Show On ARYNEWS - YouTube

Shocking beyond belief Haji behind the operation, probably a pious guy, namaz roza, sermons full meal deal

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

I think it might do you good to learn a bit more about religion, I did my research.

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

How much of an idiot does one have to be to blow their own cover? 2/10 for the effort and BS stories.

Eliminator/shawns beta do you also like your own posts? Let me have a look. Yeah you do. Dude how lame is that?

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

I knew this Shawns person was fishy and fake the moment I read his so called glorified narrations about the perfect life and family he does not seem to have. Didnt see the link with eliminator though, lmao.

If it is a he.

Re: rishtas for desi girls born and raised abroad

^He/she was going to respond to me as Eliminator with his/her "I don't go near sewers" comment which he/she later changed to

It has nothing to do with religion, families wanna marry young because, when girls are 18-22 vs 25-35 they are easier to control and manipulate. Someone who is 25 wont easily handover money or sell their jewlery if her inlaws want it. Im sure looks have something to do with it as well. But I really think its because they are easier to control and manipulate
