As a girl who has gone through the rishta process and similar situations, I'd say don't add her but instead send her a message. Something along the lines of 'Hey, you came up in my suggested friends blah blah, it was nice meeting you the other day. Hope you're well etc etc'.

If she doesn't reply it won't be the end of the world, if you meet and it goes well she will have a way of getting back in touch with you.

i guess this depends on the type of girl but personally i don't think there's a problem with asking her for her number in person. if a guy i liked asked me i would definitely appreciate it as it clearly shows you are interested and i feel it also shows that you have confidence as opposed to sending a message on fb (not that it's a bad idea).. just make sure it's done in a private way and not in front of the aunties lol
