THERE HAS BEEN A VERY SERIOUS
RESEARCH IN PAKISTAN ON HOW
THE POETRY WE OFTEN SEE SCRIBED
ON A RICKSHAW, TRUCK OR A COACH
GET’S TOGETHER SO LYRICALLY & BEAUTIFULLY
THOUGH MOSTLY AS AN ANECDOTE!
BUT IF WE LOOK AT IT DEEPLY—THERE IS A POET
AN UNKNOWN POET SOMEWHERE!!
CONTRIBUTE–EVEN BY SCRIBING IN ROMAN URDU
THE “RICKSHAW/TRUCK/COACH” POETRY YOU HAVE
HEARD OF OR SEEN AT THE BACK OF RICKSHAWS,
TRUCKS, BUSES & COACHES.
I am starting with a few fantastic ones–I received
in my ROSES CLUB email group–last night;
(I will also take photos of such poetry while on signals
if I find one worthwhile–cascading here!)
I am afraid–I cant be much of help to those who cant read URDU!

Agarr Aap mind na karen…please do not address me as SAHAB:( honestly..I hate hate that word. In my professional pursuits..till last year when over 1100 staff reported to me—my specific orders were that the word SAHAB will remain banned till the time I am around!
I am one of those crazy ones–who sit in front seat next to the driver–not back seat and door opened by the driver!
Call me Raju bhai, Uncle, Chacha, Mamoon..whatever you feel appropriate…even Kaju if sounds fun..but no SAHAB.
Thanks aur khush rahein…

Re: RICKSHAW/TRUCK shaiyeri !!!
Very nice stuff!
And it’s amazing how each of the vehicles be it rickshaw or truck are decorated to reflect the driver’s personality, and the poetry often compliments the art. They don’t just put anything on any vehicle, they tailor it.
Thanks for sharing Arjay. :aliyish1: Please keep 'em coming.
