Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl…

^ chanda you need to lay off that fcuking hijaab obsession, it will take you no where. In five years time you will be laughing (or crying ) at your stupidity

Listen kiddos, its time to grow up. and stop your 2 bit judgmental attitude. Its time for you to learn and observe God gave you two ears two eyes but one mouth he wanted you to learn and observe more and more … and then open your mouth so that people give your opinion some weight

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

Generally:

Modern muslim girls are Religious, educated, smart, independent, efficient and honest. They speak against injustice, fight for their rights and are not afraid to confront evil (men and practices). These kind of women are not preferred by traditional Desi Men.

Muslim Religious girls are generally less educated, dependent, smart, efficient and honest. They DO NOT SPEAK against injustice, do not fight for their Rights and are Subdued by Men and practices. They are the preferred choice for Desi Men.

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

^ Sums it up, I suppose.

Just labels that people use when they are afraid of or fail to understand the complexity of human nature. Would the same guys attempting to put women into two ridiculous categories be able to do the same for men?

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

Moderate means gorasized to me.

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

^ In what way?

I think the assumption that gora = bad and Pakistani = good is a bit flawed, don't you think? I feel like having grown up in the US but in a Pakistani family has really helped me to see the good and bad sides of both cultures and adapt the good to my own way of life.

Anyway, that is a slightly separate discussion from mod/religious (which again, is not the same as modern vs religious, I think). To say that a religious person does not fit into a modern life suggests that religion and modernity are incompatible and also suggests that the religion is meant for only one time period. However, I feel Islam is universal and transcends time. I don't feel any trouble applying my Islamic beliefs to modern life.

When Lajawab uses the term "mod," he uses it like the aunties use it, to suggest someone who disregards spirituality and morality, and focuses ONLY on fashion and superficial benefits.

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl…

Oh God, what if tomorrow the word ‘moderate’ to afridi starts meaning evil incarnate :crying:

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

^ Read the Quran. You have obviously been informed by the Judeo-Christian telling of the story. In the Quran both Adam and Eve are responsible, they both make the mistake.

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl…

oops i meant modernized

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl…

Sahar02 - " they both make the mistake."

Not only men abuse the sanctity of a womens mind but most they fail to
protect and provide the values dat makes women adhere to simplicity within
their four walls and then blame dere women for being irressponsible. So take
this as a wake up call before we point fingers on women - - As father n bros
and as a commnune we must protect n provide and secure so in the real
world they not only be
" equal to men "
yet keep their feminity and sexuality within bounds – and not a weapon

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

let-me-say-this, perhaps when you grow up and are past your adolescent years you'll learn there's no such thing as a perfect man or woman.

In addition, most of what you wrote did not make sense. It was very hard to comprehend.

Furthermore, your version of Adam and Eve is quite inaccurate from an Islamic perspective. To the best of my knowledge both Adam and Eve were held guilty for disobeying Allah (SWT).

Lastly, please keep your assumptions about others not dressing appropriately and being extravagant to yourself.

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl…

since when is being modern muslim girl (such thing does not exist u r muslim or u r not)mean religious:confused: …when u don,t follow whats written in quraan like wearing hijab/no dating/no make up outside ur home /not having boyfriend then how the hell r u religious??:halo: religious girls don,t do these illicit things …don,t u think?
only difference between a religious and a modern girl is…religious 1 can control her mouth/phycical desires and is happy with what she got while modern can,t shut her mouth and is arrogant, has an ego prob/wouldn,t mind getting naked infront of guys till she reach an age where she thinks its time to settle down/find marrying at age of 16 wrong /backward cuz she will miss having fun …she is mostly ungrateful towards not just god but also her husband and the only difference in her bahaviour regards to christians/jew girls is that she believe in islam while she bahave exactly like them and will not hasitate to defend her sins:halo: …

Angry again .. oh well .. Calm down plz. u will think better with a smile rather
a frown..
Firstly one of them ( Adam / Eve ) yes one of them had to dig their teeth first
the first bite NOW GO READ N INFORM yourself who it was who made the first
bite - - it was EVE…
yes both were guilty ..
But da first one who fell victim ( thnx to Satan ) first was EVE. do research
As for comprehension - - sori i cant say dat you must go back to school
– You sound like U been dere already.

I already admit - Its men behind all ills and spoils of women so relax you are
off da hook
so enjoy your wkend n discuss this wid friends n have a laugh. While we
men sit n wonder what they cud a done better or dere fore fathers cud a
done better 2 protect - save - salvage - educate dere wives n daughters

My search continues for da perfect mix - da perfect blend - - a perfect mix
of simplicity n modernity in the right proportion n degree
vow dat’ll be da day when i cry - :teary1:

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

^ummm what?

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

let-me-say-this, feel free to make as many assumptions as you desire. Fact remains that Islamically both Adam and Eve were held responsible. I don't see any argument over first bite or second bite. Had the blame been on Eve alone, Islamic text would've stated it as such.

I wish I had the time and desire to go through whatever it is you wrote and to respond to it, but fortunately I don't.

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

Oh great, another mind-blowing thread at Life1.

Over here, we have respected brother whose opinion, although valid, makes no sense. What we have to understand is that people are product of their culture and upbringing. In majority women who wear hijab, talk to men, work or study has lot to do with where they live and brought up. In west, it is a norm and girls adapt to it. Most of these girls are modest when you compare them to majority. Most of them do not drink, smoke or have promiscuous sex. Therefore, what if her aspiration is to work, to speak her mind why it is such a threat when she actually stands up for what she believes in?

You are mixing apples with oranges when you talk about mod or religious girls. Yes, following religion is important and makes you a good human being but in front of Allah. In general, it is your heart and approach towards life that makes all the difference. Stop having any ill will towards one another. Life is very short…

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

Thankyou, at least somebody understands. No i don't wear a hijab, but I know in my heart I am pure in my belief and in my actions. I choose not to wear a hijab, but that should not make me any less better than a girl who does.

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

^Who's more religious?
(A)a good muslim
(B)a good muslim who wears hijab
Simple A or B answer please.

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

^u won,t get the answer:p ........

Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl...

Seemingly B would be the better answer and Allah (SWT) knows best. It's taqwa that differentiates us from each other in front of Allah (SWT).

Therefore, stop fretting over whose better than the other, as only Allah (SWT) is the judge of how pious or impious one may be.

Why is it that I don't see threads on men lowering their gaze and verses accompanying it, and other aspects of Sunnah that men are to follow? Irregardless of what forum I browse through, I see people criticizing Muslim women for not doing enough, for being immoral, and whatever else that a mind could possibly conceive.*
