People have prefrence of gori or kali, short or tall, fat or skinny then why cant lajawab want a hijabi who is also relgious and pious. Whats so wrong about that?

Pb looks like u didn;t read the thread. Problem is not with LJ wanting a hijabi, but the huge generalisation he makes regarding hijabis and non-hijabis. Besides Religious and modern are hardly two ends of the same spectrum so the comparison isn;t just.

Umm i don't think lajjo said anythng about hijabi vs nonhijabi, he just stated the diff btwn a relgiious and "modern" women...but he didn't describe wat the "typical" modern woman did, wore, lived etc, so it was a very abstract concept.. Unfortunately this thread just derailed into a hijabi vs nonhijabi debate..

Ultra modern wana be …happy with wat she got
high heel low line thongs bra less…just the opposite
heavy make up red lipstick hi heels …simple make up
talks with twisted tongue 2 b cute …gestures with a smile
self centered wants material things …extrovert least materialistic
brags about things any or every thing …shy converse w/moderation
talks about stars n movies and actors… talks ab poverty /islam/science
hate to cook dining out shop till U drop …loves2cook feed every1 &smiles
a real pain in the butt attitude of a hippo.. …gentle kind etiquette of a queen
am i in the ball park or did i screw up .. if not some 1 please refine em both 
sorry ladies if i screwed up … forgive me dream about the modern
one but long term wont last so i would settle for a simple woman …

Again, i don’t get it, why is a woman who wears high heels and makeup and thongs can’t love to cook and feed everyone and have great ettiquete?
And if a woman who doesn’t like to cook, does that make her automatically slutty/trashy with the attitude of a “hippo” ??
A girl who wears blah and simple clothes can have a crappy attitude and hate to cook. Etc etc etc

Normally I would stay quite, but after skimming through your list I must say it’s quite pathetic and is filled with silly generalizations.
There seems to be an influx of juvenile behaviour and remarks on Life1 in general. It certainly wasn’t this bad in the past.

The problem is that these are not mutually exclusive. There’s no reason you can’t be both modern and religious.
But Lajawab used the term “mod,” which I think implies something different from modern – a sense of superficiality, immorality, etc.

For weekends i guess she can be ultra modern
for week days just a simple woman i guess what do i know -

so girls wearing heavy make up and flashy tight clothes (with headscarf) are the devout muslims while those wearing loose modest clothes and bare face (no scarf) are sluts …lol

i fit the “simple girl”…;but i’m :Dmodern (educated, independant, non hijaabi, etc…) 
i love staying house for cooking and cleaning, and sewing, etc…BUT i also can trvel the world alone, work in all men enviroement, go to uni…actually modern women don’t care about make up, tight clothes and actors, they prefer science, finance and other career oriented stuff
