Firstly, yes, India does have a huge problem with rapes and how it treats women in general.. Pakistan isn’t exactly known for being much better though.. in fact some might say it’s worse for women.. how many would even risk reporting rape in a country which is even more socially conservative and take the risk of being arrested for zina/adultery?
(There’s been a copycat gang rape in Pakistan btw.. girl raped and hung from a tree.. it was in the news here this week yet haven’t even seen it mentioned on the forum)
If they did indeed have choice and decided to stay there it was their choice. Nothing anyone can do about it.
Like I said most did not have choice and later Pakistan closed the border for new comers and I think the message from Pakistan was that those who stayed there should stay loyal to India.
It is not like Pakistan stayed open for Muslims of India which it was meant for.
Ideology was taken over by economy and job tussle.
Just read about Biharis who really wanted to come back to Pakistan and how they were given cold shoulder by Pakistan and Pakistanis.
You can only say unfortunately both countries have class problem but to come and tell that Pakistan has this problem when the discussion did not even have anything to do with that social issue, was completely uncalled for.

Pipe down.
Nowhere did I say pakistan doesnt have its share of problems. I was referring to unfair comparison that he did.
Given the kind of **** that mindless puppets spill about pak and islam you couldnt handle being shown a mirror and not liking what you see?
Also with lepak, she refers to posts that are liked by southie that are always anti islamic. Unlike you, lepak, being a pakistani, understood the point I was making.
But im not surprised. From ur posts its obvious you dont actually add anything new to discussion. Just raise pointless issues.
i think there is a misunderstanding here. i said, in India, if i have a poor relative who lives in a poor/bad neighborhood, i would visit that relative. on the contrary, in Pakistan, most relatives don’t visit poor relatives who happen to live in poor/bad neighborhood.
this was my personal experience. i wasn’t talking about religious class system. Muslims don’t have/shouldn’t have class/caste system.
Yes, your personal experience but it certainly is not the norm. I have relatives in karachi that live everywhere from Defence & Clifton to Dastagir/Laluketh and I don’t see any issues with the well off relatives visiting the poor relatives.
My chachis and taiyees make it a point to support those that are less fortunate with regular visits to make sure they are not in need of something
well, what you are saying can also be termed as ‘personal’ experience. i’ll leave at that…may be we are both wrong or both right or both partially right and partially wrong…
He doesn’t always like posts which are anti-Islamic but to an extreme nationalist it may come across that way.. He has criticised India as well.. It’s called being **objective..
**
I’m half Pakistani from my father’s side.. Again for an extreme nationalist that probably doesn’t count as being ‘real’ Pakistani.. As if I care.. Posts which don’t agree with the nodding heads = not adding to the discussion.. Err ok.. As if calling someone names is LOL
It’s not a matter of being right or wrong. It’s about making a general, sweeping statement on behalf of all or “most” of pakistan or all pakistanis… there’s no validity to that assertion as it’s a very subjective thing with too many variables.
Just like we with ties to India don’t appreciate these type of generalizations, the same applies towards Pakistan
This is such a generalised thing to say. Mainly everyone has relatives (close ones) in villages and small towns and they’ll be visiting eachother without necessarily informing you about it… we have only just seen a growth in a middle class in our country so not exactly a richy rich nation as yet, and hearing someone accusing us of having a norm of ignoring our less well to do fellas is a tad bit insulting and wrong at the same time.
not really. bangladesh is 20% hindu by population even today, west bengal is 25% muslim. punjab is like 0% hindu on the pakistani side and 1.5% muslim on the indian side - made life literally impossible for the minorities for years after partition violence. shameful. nor do bengalis from both sides go overboard when they talk to each other the way punjabis do.

The fact that you italicised always shows the frequency of posts is noteworthy. Like I dont even need to begin to prove that point further cuz it shows u see it too.
What new have you brought deeba? So far you’ve only questioned my use of adjectives and lepaks decision of handing out likes, the latter just a means to instigate.
Prove me wrong deeba.
Argue with the points I make if you feel the needs to disagree. Can you make any valid counter arguments? I feel if you could by now you would have.
Youre half paki by birth deeba. Based on that and what you type, you seem about as Paki as Zayn Malik.
Bella rouge, what do you know? KKF knows Pakistan better than any other person. So he can say with ACCURACY that the one Pakistani family he is talking about represents EVERY Pakistani and that is a FACT (according to him).
But not among muslims in India. There was another thread about castes, and most Indian muslims did not even know what caste they were. KKF can clarify, but am sure he meant that comment about indian muslims, since his relatives in India are muslims. From what I see and know, muslims in India get along fine regardless of caste and class. Even the Shia-Sunni issues are not that serious; they even inter-marry.
There are two other issues with this whole conversation.
Saying something against Pakistan is not saying something against Islam. We need to learn to separate the two. It is like Israel saying anyone that is against Israeli policies is an anti-semite.
Two wrongs don’t make a right. If India has class/caste issues, it is not ok for Pakistan to have them too, even if that number of Pakistanis that do it is not a majority. If it is a problem, first step to solving it is accepting it as a problem. Lets not try to explain it away by pointing to others.
