Preity Zinta (she used to spell her name Preety as a child)... is a Punjabi Indian Hindu who spent her childhood in Shimla where her Indian Army officer father was posted for a long time. Her father's name was Durganand Singh Zinta and both her parents are Hindu. Her father passed away in an automobile accident when she was 13. Her brother Deepankar is an Indian Army officer and her other brother Manish is in the US.
Frankly what religion she follows or does not is not my concern, I was just stating the facts as they are.
Anarkali.. but I still doubt she's a Hindoo. Anyway, Hindoos who have gone to India from Pindi/Lahore and entire Pak punjab are way lighter and european looking than the locals.. I guess Preity Zinta is one of them.
if u r comparing them on the basis of looks than preity is better.. (even without makeup) i mean she loks better even with less or almost no make up but rani really needs help so she is better (lookswise) only on screen...
most of these “facts” are absolutely true i met many indian punjabis (sikh) they are actually shorter and “sanwalay” comaparing to many paki punjabis .. talking about Sharukh he is half pathan and half hadrabadi… his features are mostly pathan and again not alla pathan are very fair .. his sister however is more like a hadrabadan but south indian where u r point i dont think so
Preity was cute but i dont know what shes done to herself with the help of plastic surgery but i'd definetly go for Rani whos a versatile actress and more prettier coz ive seen her in real life shes gorg!
In this world everything is personal.. plus religion asides, these actresses arent even the same race as us here in Pakistan. With the exception of some migrants in Pak. who share genetic traits with Indian’s and some Pakistani migrants(non-muslim) who went to India.. thats the only link we have but thats lets than 5%! U wanna see Pakistani Caucasians you just need to go to Chitral and parts of Gilgit where there are many local Pakistanis with Blonde hair and Blue eyes!
Anyhow, Politics & genes aside, I would pick Zeba Bakthiar, Monica Belusconi or Catherine Zeta Jones, theyre drop dead gorgeous and have the acting qualities to top it up!!! especially Monica, she looks like the epitomy of the perfect Pakistani Girl even though she’s Italian:blush:

Besides the people of Gilgit and Chitral are overrated. It's like all these tourists come to Pakistan to look at the Kalash people and marvel at their light eyes and light hair. Out of 150 million pakistanis they come to see only the 4000. For once i'd like to see travel sites focusing on Punjab or Sindh or Balochistan.
I think Preity Zinta probably shares genes with many Pakistanis. She's rajput from India and there are many Pakistani Rajputs. I've always heard Pakistani people say she looks like a Pakistani. Like my mom who saw her in a Liril ad when she first started out and said, "She's not that pretty, looks like an average pakistani girl".
i really don,t get why indians are sooooooooo obsessed with fair skin?why are they trying so despratly to convince others that we pakistanis and indians are 'same’people , why are they repeating same old lies again and again and again:confused:don,t they get tired or maybe they think if they repeat same lie over and over again it will sound like the truth ?
i don,t wana sound like a recist but after seeing so many indian i really have to disappoint you people (spacially some pakistanis who have this attitude like oh only our beliefs are different but the rest is the same)i don,t see any similalarities excapt our language which is some how same if i would have been incharge of pakistan even that would have changed by me:D:jhanda:. indians i have met were mostly black so to speak, i mean even our marasis in pakistan are better looking then an average indian:D.
Chiaiman.... where did u get this figure of 4000.. Thats just the number of Kalash, the population of Gilgit and Chitral is over a 1.5 million.. but what difference does it make to you since u dont know anything about those areas in detail for your whole interests lies in knowing all the details(family, caste etc..) of a few atypical semi-normal looking Indian actors/actresses out of a population of over a billion.. if you think Preety is nice and Monica is overated(no mention of Catherine zeta jones or Zeba Bakhtiar) then there definately is something wrong with your standards.. what world are you from? the whole world is overrated except for bollywood actresses/actors according to you..
I find Monica overrated because people keep going on and on about how beautiful she is but when did i say i like Preity??? I don't go around calling people ugly but umm lets just say i find Preity Zinta unattractive.
Honey i was talking about the Kalash people not Chitralis in general. I have studied Pakistan and its people extensively so i don't know what you're trying to say. It's ok. A few years ago i hated indians blindly but now i know that some indians particularly the rajputs and jatts in India are related to the jatts and rajputs in Pakistan. Thats nothing to be ashamed of since the jatts and rajputs are usually considered to be the most beautiful people in India :D
I find Zeba Bakhtiar beautiful btw. But still, she's half french and you can find tons and tons of full pakistanis who are equally beautiful.
fair enough Chiaman… I just want to see our people focusing on ourselves or other countries besides India thats all, theres lots of beauty around the world… I dont hate them all either.. I have some Sikh friends(jatts & khokkars) here and there(they themselves tell me they hate India..and how there stuck in that country..loL!) + there the first ones to tell me how different and better looking we are! I think were limiting ourselves… just want us to broaden and check out the global world as a comparison…dont want to limit ourselves to south asia cuz were better than that…thats all.. i agree with that part cuz there are pakistani people who know everything there is to know about bollywood and indian dramas but mention Amna Haq or Iman Ali and they will say stuff like "who’s that?’
Nothing drives me crazier than Pakistanis who drool over Arab stars or Indian stars and don’t know anything about the pakistani entertainment industry.
