my babhi looks like a cross between preity zinta and kareena kapoor in the movie Refugee(without the light eyes).
So that's why I like Preity only for her face but I think Rani is much better in terms of acting.

Rani only looks good with a truckload of makeup on. She has nice eyes and a cute smile but her dull skin/undereye circles really bring her down. Her style is really ugly imo. BUT when she's on screen(with all the makeup on) you can't help but like her.
Preity is cute but she only looks good(for celebrity standards) when she has makeup on. Otherwise she looks like an average Pakistani girl. Her voice is manly and her acting annoys me.
So Rani wins because of her acting, likeability, eyes and smile.

rajputs are mostly fairer/taller than Bengalis who are better artists.. Preity (Preetam Singh) is lighter and taller than Rani Mukherji who is a Bengali

Preity Zinta is Punjabi Indian.
Bengali culture has a tradition of supporting fine and performing arts. Does that make them better artists? I think its an indivdual thing. Either you are talented or can be trained ... or not.
I vote for neither. They both look good, but neither has created a admirable body of work for which they will be remembered 20 years from now.
And what is with this whole ... fairer, taller thing? Desis are what they are. They come in all shapes and sizes. I have met fat, squat, darker skinned Punjabi Pakistanis and Punjabi Indians as well as fair skinned South Indians and all shapes and sizes in between.
Fairer and taller than whom? It is all relative. We are always going to be darker than European Caucasions, but so what? Heck even the fairest Desi is never going to be lighter than a fair skinned Latino... so what makes someone fairer and taller better than you?
So for everyone who says.. Oh I am a fair skinned Pashtun, or Punjabi or Kashmiri or whatever, so I must be better than a darker skinned someone else... does it also mean you are worse than a fair scandinavian?

Get your facts your st8.. Preity Zinta is actually Preetam Singh Zinta daughter of muslim rajput army officer Durganand Singh Zinta.. a chandravashi as most of the bhatti Rajputs are in Pakistan... Most of the Pakistani punjabis are fairer and taller compared to Indian Hindoos or Sikhs.. its just good genes.

Besides your facts are wrong.
Preity Zinta (she used to spell her name Preety as a child)... is a Punjabi Indian Hindu who spent her childhood in Shimla where her Indian Army officer father was posted for a long time. Her father's name was Durganand Singh Zinta and both her parents are Hindu. Her father passed away in an automobile accident when she was 13. Her brother Deepankar is an Indian Army officer and her other brother Manish is in the US.
Frankly what religion she follows or does not is not my concern, I was just stating the facts as they are.

i think both, Rani(natual beauty) & Preity(with plastic surgery) are pretty…but rani acts better..but i don’t think any of them are “sexy”..they are both just “sweet and pretty” looking…

Rani all the way! She has been a fantastic actress since her first move 'Raja ki ayegi baraat'. I loved her in there and you could tell she has talent. Regarding looks, we're all ugly in someway and that's what make up is there for.
Preity, There was nothing special about her at all in any of her movies. She's so average looking and then Kal Ho Naa Ho comes along and suddenly she's the best actress around? Nuh uh. The role did not even suit her. It was originally written for Kajol in mind and I don't think Preity did it that well as Rani or Kajol may have done. Even with Veer Zaara....She was not a good choice.
I watched them two on Koffee with Karan and Preity is so immature [not fun, immature] whereas Rani had abit more class.
So, Rani is the better out of the two.

Only people who are only a bit comparable genetically to Pakistanis in India are Sikhs… even they are shorter and darker when compared to their western punjabi counterparts. I would say 75% of Pakistan is way lighter than Latinos. Many Pakistanis look more caucasian when compared to Greek/Latinos/Spanish/Italians… People from UP and South India are way shorter and darker when compared to people from Punjab, India. But even Indian Punjabis are shorter and darker than us, the Pakistanis.. the other day I was watching TV and saw Bapsi Sidhwa, a Pakistani and Deepa Mehta, Indian Gujarati.. it certainly looked they belonged to different races cuz Bapsi Sidhwa is soooo fair.. Even look at their #1 actor- Mr. Shah Rukh Khan- he looks like a Madrasi(South Indian) to me.. Indians have lot of confusion that we need to clear since we dont meet that often
