How do you get yourself removed off this feature? I don’t like coming in an hour after seeing one of my old entries as the “random featured blog entry”, and then coming back an hour or two later seeing another one of my wise-arse entries posted up.

PCG, its mainly because there are not so many journal entries right now, and the ones taking place are by you or the most of them, so its obvious that the system will pick one of ur entries as random when 80 out of 100 blog entries are yours.
So it will be ok when the blogging goes bit busy and more entries are made in the system.
Unless they are picking the random featured entry themselves manually.

and don’t go flattering yourself… the only reason your entries keep making it up on the randomly featured section is because you have like a zillion entries.

Haha, I don't think so - I remember there were quite a few guppies who had exceeded my number substantially.
I guess they might not have activated their journal. Regardless, I wanna know how we can disable our entries from showing up in the random feed. You know, to give the more enthusiastic (points up) a chance.

well, maybe some of my entries would have made it up to the randomly featured section, had they not been lost forever due to the limited number of entries that could have been transferred, and so lucky you - all of your entries made it back home, but MY two dozen (maybe less) journal entries didn’t!
it’s all your fault, woman! maybe you should cut down on the emotional sensitivity and all that so your blogs won’t take up like half of the freaking server. thanks.

phatima1 rona bas karo, its most probably your PINK color code which the import script couldn't read, and caused it to skip all ur entries.

Why should I make my journal private? That would mean, I'd have to list every bugger I'd want to be able to see my journal, and that's too many people. Its easier just to list a few people on my ignore list and open it up to the rest of the crowd.
phatima: My griping about studying and school challenges being plastered on the front page of the journals section is ... oh well, its like someone ripped off my dupatta or something. :( Those are such intimate details of my being. I don't mind having them up if it takes people the trouble to click in my journal and go through the bother of reading my posts, but putting it up on the random feed just makes it so much more "open" to everyone.

current setting is to change random every 10 mins. dont sweat. in the coming weeks, i am gona change this so that randoms are pulled only from high rated posts and not your pakroa threads ...
