look into local colleges. a lot of them offer courses that teach you everything from budgeting, taxes, dealing with clients, dealing with vendors, organizing your business, negotiating and writing contracts etc.

theres a lot more to event planning, esp when dealing with brides, than simply deciding which colors will look pretty in what decor

those classes are also often taught by successful small business owners and professional event planners and they’re a great way of meeting the right people and making contacts.

Honestly, after a very extensive 4yr programme on design i think i have got all kinds of experiences (knowledge) to go straight into this business :D.

you might change ure mind, its all abt the stress of being a wedding planner but it seems fun too

I have seen it couple of times. I can understand the stress, its same when there is a wedding in your family :).

I think that is a pretty cool idea, I am kinda plannin to do the same but I guess I wod do something related to Event Management side. So it would be fun to organize events as well as weddings.
