What about all those who are in the middle of all this and have to DEFEND themselves every day because of one individual?
You think you know, but you have no idea!
I'm scared to live in this country and this is the first time in my 23 years that I have felt like this. I consider this my home and never felt uncomfortable or out of place in this country.
Yesterday I was at an iftarparty at my uni and there were all kinds of reporters roaming around.
I was interviewed by a radiostation and it was almost as if they were waiting for me to say something 'controversial' and then use it against the whole lot of us. Truth is everyone is scared to speak their mind .. it is YOU vs US from now on.
what's really sad is that those who condone such Rambo actions in the guise of 'defending Islam" themselves line up at the embassies of these "Kafir" countries begging for a visa..
‘our’ loot and plunder is nothing compared to what other countries have done and still are doing. Furthermore, Holland has done more for those than the US or the rest of europe combined

HYPOCRITES.

Isnt it equally sad that one forgets his or her own people once they move to these "kafir" lands. I mean do you really have to do so much for a visa?

You have to understand Sir G, that for such people the visa is the Holy Scripture of their life and the embassy official who stamps their passport is the ultimate Master. Disagreeing with one's Master is hardly an option, right?
So, how did the killing of the director achieved this objective? Maybe those who do condone the killing (by state or by individual) can explain. Explain how will the people who watched the movie will benefit from the killing of the director? Will this killing help the Dutch community understand the Muslims or Islam better? Will it clear the misunderstanding or will it make the case stronger for the director?

Anyone?

It didn't. Running around murdering people is hardly the way to get your voice heard. Even though in principle, the murderer might well have had the correct intention, but his choice of execution (no pun intended) left a lot to be desired.
The Moroccon who killed Gogh came from a country where what he did might be condoned, or even liked!. but didn't he realize he was in the Netherlands?? didn't he know the rule of law there? the freedom of sppech allowed to it's natives?
Didn't he realize he was a minority there? What compelled him to live in a land the rules and regulations or customs of which he or his sympathisers despise so much..
These hypocrites hate the very fabric of Western societies.. the freedoms they give to their women, the choices they give to people to practice their religions and the right to voice their opinion when they see something wrong.. YET.. by droves they knock on the doors of these 'decadent' socieities to be let in.... by hook or by crook..
Your turn :)
P..S. what people are you talking about Mr. skhan in Missouri in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!!

Speak for yourself. There is a difference between coming here temporarily with the objective to get an education, and kissing gora ass in order to stay here and emulate your masters.

skhan, and what do you consider the best approach 'of clearing Islam's name/misunderstanding'?

I don't have any specific ideas, but I am sure one not involving murder would be a viable one. For example, someone mentioned earlier a documentary/book to explain twisted interpretations.
