It's not about following Saudia Arabia as a country but following it so we all can have one day of celebration.
Shia - Sunni
Eid one day - Eid another day
WRONG! Islam is one and since we (americans) are not in an islamic state we should be the ones following them not vice versa.
Unity is the key to this religon which we're lacking rite now

People need to first REACH a level where they can Argue, get some knowledge of Islam first before giving their own opinions.
none of us here have the power or knowledge to do that yet!
ANd if there was a twister in my backyard, and it was time to pray I WOULD PRAY.
Muslims had their heads chopped off, cuz they started praying in a middle of the battlefield.
ALLAH comes first.
Unity doesn’t mean follow the Saudis, It means applying the religion of islam to where u’re geographically located.
When the Prophet pbuh went on expeditions, and as well as other sahabas, theyd id not pray and perform celebrations the SAME time as the prayers or celebrations in MECCA!
They would do it according their geographical setting.

One celebration day does not show unity of the Muslim Ummah! Sorry.
This idea/practice/innovation started some decades ago only, and it was originally inspired by the Cristmas being on the same day across the globe. Saudis nutcases didn’t get the point that first of all Sahaba/Salaf (who they refer to in every fatwa otherwise) always went the shariya way, moon sighting that is, whichever part of the world they were in.
Second of all we go by lunar calender and Christians go by gegorian. They can have it on the same day and we can’t. As we can’t have prayers at the same time. We have lunar and solar (incase of prayers) timings that we follow. WE ARE DIFFERENT.
Worst is that Saudia announced it with their ruler’s permisson only. There had been cases of Shabaan being of 28 days since they didn’t want Eid to be on a specific day of week.
As far Unity is concerned, so dear, Eid/Ramadhan on the same day won’t do a single bit. Its our aamaal/deeds and sincerness and love for our brothers that will create the real unbreakable BOND. Check out our history.
