what u say about it ??? islam is not restrcited to follow saudies …
later in 17 centuary Turks were the head … they were controlling khilafat-e-usmania and no one objected… the rule of a thumb is … follow the best one not the oldest one
saudies are even worse muslims at the moment then pakies are … then why follow them… just because there are holly places… and what they have done to those holly plcaes distroyed most of them

as far as ramdan is concerned … islam contrary to christianity follows lunar cyle rather than solar one… what does it mean??? it mean they don’t have to look out for moon to celebrate christmas… but we are bound to do so and mind you solar nad lunar cylcles are totally different … solar got 365 days where as lunar has 360 days thats why we have 29 ramzan at one place and 30 at others.

Chupkese Just because others do not agree with your point of view or are having a hard time understanding the concept, that doesn't mean you can start calling them idiots. Avoid that.
Now, back to the question. One must condition is that you must see the moon with your eye. If people were to start fasting or whatever based on whoever sees the moon, then you really you don't have to look for it because it's THERE 24/7/365. It's just that because of the rotation of earth, we can't see it. Otherwise, the moon doesn't "disappear", it's always there and one month will never end because the moon is always in the space. Therefore, each region has to see it with their eyes as the condition is in order to start the month.
This is how it used to be in old days and this is how we ought to do it. Like I said, if we stop following the old way of seeing it with eyes, then we don't have to see it, because we know the moon is always in space. It's just the matter of how much light is reflected upon it. I hope I am clear.
