I was eager to know the meaning of khalonda nahi kithay… therefore I go bit forward and said that… Why would I take offence?

…Because you are a nice guy, and I like to be nice with nice people. But really, I’ve seen incidents of non-Punjabi folks taking Punjabi humour very personally, so it’s always useful to tell people that don’t take offence in jokes. I have Pathan friends, and I literally have to ask for their permission before including them in a joke.

Bhaiya… is equal to Paindu? What I think… bhaiya is Hindi word of bhai (Urdu) … Word bhaiya is usually discouraged in Urdu speaking family.

No just like Paindu is a stereotypical diss for Punjabis in Karachi, bhaiya is a stereotypical jibe for Karachittes.

Why are u getting mad at somone. If someone call u a punjabi Lassi Drinker. Take it as a compliment. We should b pround of our traditions like Lassi, Parathy, Kaabadi and Desi mahool. I am a half punjabi and half pathan. Fathr is Pathan, Mother is Lahori Punjaban. See i speak, Punjbi and i am pround to be a Punjabi. Shairaa di qum aa sadi

No no, I don't get mad when someone pokes fun of my Punjabiyat or tries play with stereotypes. I usually find them hilarious and get a good laugh out of it. I have a love and hate relationship with Lassi, it's nice drinking it, but the drowsiness you suffer from afterwards is not particularly helpful. No wonder people in Lahore drink jug like glass full of lassi first thing in the morning, and off they go with taking a long nap by midday. Isn't this khula tazaad?

i really don’t agree with it,m from typical punjabi family n my mum use to speak in punjabi..abbu n my all siblings are highly educated but all of us lke to speak in english n punjabi or siraf zrurat k time urdu nai te punjabi mahol te mithe chol

Is new generation of Punjabis shy about Punjabi language?

Is it true that they want to learn Urdu instead of Punjabi?

Actually they speak Urdu only with little kids, Jao puttar Mama pass But you can divide new generation in two parts Mama’s boys and Desi Boys. Desi boys still speak Punjabi but mama’s/mummy daddy wants to speak Urdu with mixture of English
