muhajirs in interior sindh can speak sindhi i think you havent met any rajput(khaimkhani and khanzada). I accept that muhajirs should learn sindhi .

yeah you are right about hyderabad that it was a modern and developed at the time of partition..I think dadu was not a developed city before partition

why didnt the sindhi politicians served their people.I think junejo was the most honest sindhi politician.Others just cash on the sentiments of the public

I think sindhis are the most tolerant nation.even those who call themselves sindhi are not the real people of sindh.arain came here from punjab around 150 years ago.aghas came around 200 years.talpurs,jatois,legharis and other baloch tribes some of them who came here from the seraiki belt and are bilingual that is they speak sindhi and seraiki ruled sindh and are still in power.I dont know why sindhis have a problem with muhajirs(urdu speaking) only.

I think MQM should be condemned because it has done nothing for the country province or even muhajirs.Same goes for those nationalists who just keep on spreading hatred between ethnicities

That was in my very first post. I am indeed a Pakistani before I am a Punjabi. But undue criticism of Punjab is also harmful to the national interest.

Those small groups of Muhajirs who stayed in the interior did learn Sindhi but that spirit is no more now. I mean the pace is lost and they have not been fully integrated with the rest of the people. However, you are right to that extent and I agree with you on that.

Dadu had very good buildings, drinking water and severage system. You can still see them if you happen to visit the old city.

I can not be specific here to express my views as to why did Sindhi Politticians did not serve their masses. They still dont. Answering it will be all the more complex.

Thats exactly I am pointing it out. Sindhis didnt have problems with any you quoted and they dont have with Muhajirs until their mass killing happened. Its the total alienation of Sindhis from Urban cities which makes them uncomfortable and here is why I second your opinion that MQM should be condemned.

All federating units need to have an equal say in the governance of the country. This means that if 3 out 4 of the provinces are against something, their way goes. Now compare this to Kalabagh Dam issue. The most obvious case of Punjab bias in recent times.

Pakistan was created as a federation of Muslims states according to the Lahore resolution.

Capricorn, Sindhis too committed massacres of their own through JSQM and like minded parties. It was not a one sided event. But lets not blame each other now. We need to be united for Sindh's cause. We both face a bigger threat from the north.

And everyone seems to be ignoring the water issue

Yeah there should not be any “undue critism” on any ethnicity is harmful for the nation. But why people criticise punjab only? why all the three provinces have problems with punjab.From NFC award to water shortage why every province have strong reservations about punjab only???

punjab should do all it can to clean up its image.

Well, what caused it is the issue and who is continuing with it is yet another issue but I am not pressing to discuss it right now.

legbreakgoogly, it is Punjab which is destorying Sindh through denying our right to the Indus. Read my post on water issues in this "thread".

I am a Muslim first and then anything else. And as a Muslim I have to speak about the injustice to Sindh.

Sindh gets its fair share. Punjab is far and away the biggest agricultural producer in Pakistan, so its water needs are fully understandable, and beneficial to the rest of the nation in the middle and long term.

Ok Muslim 1st, 2nd should be Pakistani NOT Sindhi!

I am Muslim, Pakistani and then Punjabi. I have my priorities right.

You are not listening. Sindh is NOT getting its fair share. Its farms are turning into deserts. People don’t have clean water to drink. The coastal communities and fishermen are struggling to survive as their livelihood and land is washed away. You are just trying to hide the reality.

My priorities are right. I am Muslim first, then Sindhi, then Pakistani. I cannot deny the land I was born in and the land that gave refuge to my people.

Calm down oh baboo raam! Sindh’s quota is around 49 million acre foot of water every year while Punjab has a quota of 56 maf. This is as per the 1991 water accord. Now take a deep breath and sit down. OK! Tell me if Sindh has gotten less than its alloted 49 maf and how much.

Beautiful post. With the exception of Pathans, no other ethnic group can be considered the martial equal of the Punjabis. We should teach any "armed group" a fierce lesson.

My reply is, yes we are all Pakistani brothers, yes there is injustice and it needs to be taken care of. Yes, absolutely everyone deserves there fair share.
But the day you speak of "killing Punjabis" we'll see who is a sindhi and who is punjabi
