Sure Punjabis made blunders. The biggest blunder was to support Urdu as a national language. We should have had English as "language for office business", with strong emphasis on promoting regional language.
However the odds were stacked against the new born Pakistan when every Tom Dick and Harry wanted to move the whole country to this way or the other.
The second blunder for Punjabis was to support leftie commie schemes and Islam zindabad type sloganeering. Punjab has had a secular culture and it should have maintained the same at every cost.
The third blunder was to allow my community of Urdu people to take a hold of Sindh Urban.
The deadly combination of Islam and Urdu is the root of our ills. The sooner we rid of these diseases, the quicker we'll heal as a nation.

Stopping the abuse of Urdu or the misuse of Islam should be the top priority of the Pakistanis. Urdu is a beautiful language and one of my favorite medium for prose and poetry. However it was never meant to be a "national" language. So let's us all enjoy the fantastic verses by Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib without imposing this "sharo-shairee" on hapless people of Pakistan.
On the second note, taking Mullahtic games out of the Pakistan is necessary to move forward in this world. Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Frontier always had a Sufi culture that will continue to be a force in the country. Wahabism on the other hand is something of a plague that has infested our country. The sooner we rid of it and send it back to the land of Wahab Alaihe Salaam, the better it is.

Pakistani culture is become a mix of the west and the east -- nobody curtsys (sp?) like people of mughal dar'baar nor do they speak saqueel Urdu. It's a hybrid culture and a hybrid society that's striving a find an equilibirium.

In the heat of karachi hatred a lot of BS is written again.
if karachi is given to locals to have law and order, karachi like in past will be 100 times batter. this Uroosul-Bilad has been systematically destroyed by Non-Karachiites by putting more police forces from outside who did not care who is who in the city and how to run even traffic on busy chowk.
While Karachiites/muhaajirs know how to run the country..other did all possible things to ruin the country!
All major blunders were made by non-muhaajirs including quota system, discrimination against majority bengalis, looting bengalis wealth to build Islamabad streets, nationalizing banks, colleges and universities etc. Robbing private companies built mostly by muhhajirs over decades. 'Highjacking' PIA originated and mainly developed at Karachi!, letting afghanis to settle in 'suhraab goth', letting Sind land destroyed by the sea etc.
We know if any law and order situation ocurred in Karachi, police was the last one appeared on the scene. IG's gave bribery just to become more rich eating up traffic ticket money etc. SHO of Liaqatabaad gave bribery to be the SHO of this area so he could get Bhatta from shopkeeprs to keep them 'safe' from same robbers who he knew so closely. Police was strict in other places against criminals but has been against citizens in Sind routinely.
Karachiies had terror when Ayub Khan brought non-karachiites who banged on the electic poles with sticks at night!
Krachiites are and have been the only one who had more books at their houses than guns but it was other way around anywhere else.
I remember karachiites never used to close their back doors at night till non-karachiites flooded the city and disturbed the law and order situation.
Who destroyed Karachi? Why would Karachiites do that? Does this make sense?

Muhhajir is used for identification just like any other in Pakistan is proud to be called based on their background. Not that Muhaajir did any 'ehsaan' on anyone but they are the real builders of Pakistan along with some important local leaders at that time. Nothing wrong of being proud of that.
We need to accept that karachi was made a world class city by Muhaajirs and still is an open city for all.
I mentioned earlier if urdu was not there, Pakistan would have been divided long time ago.

Neither did you i am afraid. You wanted to say blame game is not good and I agree. But international issues are different than Punjaabi/non-punjaabi issues.
Is there anyone who can see objectively why non-punjaabis are not very happy in Pakistan? What should Punjaab do to alleviate the problems?

You are such a wuss that you are shifting the blame of the East Pakistan debacle (where people blame a Sindhi named Zulfi Bhutto) to Punjab. Agar Duhd peetah aye tey das kun punjabi si tey kun Sindhi. Name any Punjabi back then who caused the disintegration of East Pakistan if you have balls.
