PTI sit-in/dharna

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

^The foreign policy is that Pakistan is supporting the NATO's WOT in Afghanistan.

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

^ thats not foreign policy thats "bhair chaal", in 1979 when it was not our business to poke our nose into afghanistan since our masters asked us we jumped in the band wagon...supported so called mujahideen, created taleban, but after 911 when the americans forced us took another uturn we pushed the country to where it is now

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

Its a separate thing how we have reached at this point but we have to realistically understand what our options are.

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

hmm it seems PMLN is feeling uneasy/tense as with the passage of time they are becoming more and more irrelevant…

Opposition leader alleges agencies involved in politics

**He said he usually avoid criticising agencies but they were responsible for alliances and sit-in.

Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Ch. Nisar Ali said politicians without a single seat in assembly were staging sit-in on someone’s prodding.
**
He said he usually didn’t criticise agencies but they were responsible for alliances and sit-in. He demanded the prime minister should direct agencies to work in their legal framework. Politicians who had been levelling serious charges like murder were joining hands on the pretext of reconciliation, he added.

PML-N is accused of holding meetings with generals but ask them was there any meeting held with them? He claimed PML-N never contacted any general or DG ISI to destabilise the government.

He added he never got the answer of his question that he raised about DG ISI’s US visit.

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

well theres an easy way of settling that one. if IK is dancing on ISI's tune, then whenever ISI/CIA resolve their issues, he'll ratchet it back down to pre-dharna levels.

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

seriously ??

ok listen to this.
when BB was prime-minister and Gen. baig was army chief. In annual staff collage address he addressed young army officers for** 90 **mins behinds closed doors.

He basically whined about why 90+ % army officers going against leadership's favourable tendency towards PPP. Gen. baig was liked PPP.

Point of the story: Rather very simple point of the story is.....
army is men too, they could like Imran too.. like back in the day they preferred ganja(not properly put on test then) over BB.

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

sorry i dont know what your point is with respect to my post?

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

oops.... so your post wasn't inspired by Choudhary Shujat's current series of statements ??

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

nope just post 64

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

My guessetimate is 7-8 thousand people, it was the first rally in Peshawar in sometime

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

I'm following what's being said by Imran for a while now, I think a lot of this is just posturing and related to building his popularity. The party doesn't have the kind of resources that other political setups do so they have to work on issues rather than play it like all the others. Expect a definite moderation in their stances if they're ever in power. Right now they're only trying to get attention, which seems like some conspiracy theory to their utterly incompetent rivals in Punjab and elsewhere.

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

if there is love affair between ISI and terrorist, then why are we having terrorst attacks in pakistan.
yar tum log aqal se kaam lo. america pakistan ko blackmail karta a raha hay. this nonsense must STOP

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

lols reminds of abrar’s song…shareekan noun agg lagdi…besides there hve been many tv anchors, columnists who have fire on their tails as well..

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

Ravage, regardless of whether PTI does well in the general election in 2013, I see media and people like Imran Khan as important pressure groups necessary to keep a check on power abuses, lootkhasoot and corrupt ways of those in power (both government + opposition). Hence all the shor and noise being made by PPP and PML-N about Imran's dharna. Implicating agencies (while there maybe some truth in it) is just a desperate attempt by them (PPP and PML-N) to divert attention away from their own incompetence and poor governance. Deep down they know they have failed and that people are very frustrated at the moment

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

So he is Pakistan's version of Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. Not sure if his supporters would like that characterization.

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

See for yourself how fed up and frustrated ordinary people are with drones

Here an ordinary pathan is venting his anger and frustration.

youtube.com/watch?v=CroQFwnmXx8

Warning: I deliberately did not post the whole link because it contains hardcore swear words

But these are true feelings of an affected Pakistani. It is heartfelt feelings and every word he said is correct. It would have been better if abusive words were not used or could be avoided but then I don't blame him

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

lets not mischaracterize the clip. he isnt an 'ordinary pathan', nor is there any evidence that he is an 'affected Pakistani'. he admits to being a siyasi worker for PTI.

lets also remember that the choice of location is not because this place is affected by drone strikes (you'd have to go quite a bit west for that) but because this is presumably the closest junction to an urban population for the road on which NATO supplies are carried out.

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

kya siyasi karkun ordinary Pakistani nahin ho sakta or vice versa :)

Re: PTI sit-in/dharna

This Nusrat dude is so pompous he really needs to be shown the mirror -- the mustachioed guy on the other hand seems to have been recruited from a circus. Their show needs to be renamed 'Dumb and Dumber' from bolta pakistan
