^ still havent forgiven him for toru :D? hes alrite, actually shows an unexpectedly snarky sense of humour on twitter.
'ordinary' implies there is no pertinent information about his background that would inform how we interpret his comments. this is why when political shows talk about talking to the man on the street it would usually not be the entrance of a political party's office.

But how do we know for sure that he is from PTI. I am sure many low-level karkuns in ANP and other parties (whose say does not really matter!!) disagree with drones despite the party's official position
oh sure, its possible he could even be from MQM (they have a pashtun wing after all). i just dont consider it very likely, given what he says, given where he is, given who he is surrounded by (the crowd in general is carrying pti flags wearing pti gear). if we were to make a judgement based on likelihood, the most plausible one is pti.
^^ Big deal even if he is from PTI. There's a broad consensus against Zardari and no one is a fan of Ganjaa brothers unless they're totally hardcore PMLN.
bhaijan you'll see how little that matters when these same parties win the elections again. i will put money on it, IK isnt winning more than 3 seats, and thats if he has a really good election.

It doesn't matter. I'll support anyone who's trying their hardest to challenge the status-quo and trying to bring about a positive change to Pakistani politics at a national level.

That is not why I support IK. I like him because of his sincerity, honesty and integrity. And as I said in my earlier post (#75), win or lose, people like him are still important as a pressure group

They're definitely more than a pressure group as PTI is known to have broad support in the urban youth. Mobilizing that support to the polling stations is a challenge for PTI. We'll have to wait and see what turns out at the ballot box assuming they can pull off a transparent election

True. That is his biggest challenge and only real hope ....mobilising the segment (a whopping 70%) of disgruntled registered voters who traditionally do not bother to show up on polling day. And obviously that is a BIG IF too. As I said else-where PPP and PML-N are effectively fooling the nation with the support of around 10 million voters!!
A few valid points:
There are around 90 million registered voters in Pakistan
only 30% of voters or 27 million bothered to vote in 2008
We now know that 45% or 12.15 million of these votes were fake, bogus or fraud i.e. only 14.85 million votes were genuine
PPP (124 seats) and PML-N (91) won a combined 215 seats out of a total 337 National Assembly seats or 0.637% of the 14.85 million genuine votes (or 9.46 million)
so PPP (and PML-N) are effectively ruling with the support of just 9.46 million or around 1 crore people (out of a population of 180 milion people)
70% of voters are aged < 30 years
if all 100% turn out to vote on election day then IK has a chance albeit small
Whether Imran wins or not is not the point here. The people of Pakistan and esp. the establishment must decide whether they want to maintain the status quo and let the same chors and thugs in (PPP, PML-N, PML-Q, ANP, MQM ....*sab corrupt aur matlabi hein, inn mein sey kissi ek mein salahiyat hee nahin *IMO) in the next general election in 2013 or let someone-else (however naive) who is clearly the most capable, honest and sincere among the political lot get us out of the current mess
so my preferred choices:
no.1 - Imran's PTI
no.2 - Musharraf's APML (Musharraf made a lot of mistakes (esp. post 2007) but I thought he was very sincere in the beginning and ruled the country well from 1999 to 2002)
That is not why I support IK. I like him because of his sincerity, honesty and integrity. And as I said in my earlier post (#75), win or lose, people like him are still important as a pressure group
i was talking to stalker, who does believe they're genuine contenders for power. btw where do you get the 45% of the votes were fraudulent number from?

This figure was given by Nadra in the court on a legal petition filed specifically for this purpose.

I'm hoping that will change this time around, people genuinely want change and I think PTI will definitely try to mobilise non-voters as part of their campaign. Personally I will be doing all I can to make sure everyone I know votes. And I'm hopeful a member of the Bhutto khandaan does not mysteriously get killed right before the election, ensuring a huge wave of sympathy votes.

Bless you!!!!
I have been doing it for a while. :)
Idea of living in that hell hole scares me.. we need to fix it.
There is no Bhutto khandaan now per-se, Bilawal is a Zardari by the patriarchal rules of the Sindh feudal setup. I hope they give up janaza-politics and for once start talking about issues.
