My computer doesn't have sound, so I can't hear the video. I don't know the comments were made with the intent to ridicule. But if Prince Harry does harbor some sort of prejudice toward Pakistanis/Muslims...............I wonder if it is because his mother, Princess Diana, had an affair with Pakistani doctor, Hasnat Khan, as well Dodi Al-Fayed?
This prince seems to have a more wilder......more careless streak to his personality compared to his more tactful and cautious brother, Prince William. Interesting.

Paki was race hate term in the Uk back in the 60s,70's,80's and 90's. It still is. Which is why for calling someone paki is an offence. Just like calling a black person the N word!!!

the guy that he called a paki was actually one of his close friends...so maybe he didnt mean to say it in a bad way...i mean still it isnt acceptable but personally i dont think he intended malice...

I do find it quite offensive coz its not like the ahmed guy could hear him and was in on the joke, he was actually referin to him as a paki.
which makes me think does he always refer to him as a "paki" even in front of other people.
I call myself a paki sometimes but only in front of pakistani people but i dont think any1 from any other ethnic background can refer to me as a paki, just like black people call each other the n word but they dont accept others callin them that.

Being a family friend i can tell you that the paps wouldnt stop hounding the guys uncle for an interview.
Papers have even offered the cadet money for "his side" of the story. But i think he (on the orders of the Pak Govt) has turned it down!!!!

The word "paki" CAN surely be offensive in certain circumstances...but this hardly seemed to be one of those. Pakis call each other paki all the time. Friends of pakis who are not themselves paki...use that word without offense. It goes the same way with the "N" word. African americans call each other that incessantly. And their non-Afr. Am. friends are welcome to use that term too when addressing each other (as in "wassup my N-word" etc).
The house of Windsor has always seemed to me to be very friendly with the Pakistani population (maybe because of Diana who ws a great friend of Pakistan even before her romance with the doc and Dodi._
I felt sorry for the guy. As one of the embattled palace spokespeople explained, he was acting as a soldier amongst fellow soldiers, forgetting that the rest of the world never sees him in THAT light, they see him as a prince. So as much as he would like to be "one of the guys", it can never be.

I feel sorry for him but the thing that gets me is that he referred to him as "our little paki friend" even though ahmed could not hear him, if he could hear him then i probably would not have been offended.
