Rubbish record against the big teams. Arsenal has done us twice this season. Humiliation.

Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
Talha, wasnt it First double for Arsenal over manU?
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
A very eventful weekend in PL and La Liga.
ManU so luckily beat Liverpool at Anfield to virtually seal the title. It was such a one sided match with Liverpool dominating almost whole match but luck deserted them. ManU are getting the results as well as the luck and seems like they will seal the title this season. Chelsea are still behind by 9 points despite winning against Portsmouth.
Barca's wretched run continues. They lose to Seville who are now astonishingly at top of La Liga. However it is really tight between top four. with four points seperating them.
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
What an absolute high quality match between Barca and Real. It ended 3-3. Barca equalized with ten men and Lionel Messi grabbing a hattrick. What a player is he going to be! absolute nail biter!
Barca are still top but top four sides are seperated by just 5 points and there is still a long way to go in La Liga.
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
yes the champions of Italy and Spain are out of this season's CL. For Italians there are some reasons but for Barcelona....
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
i would have liked Real to win yesterday against Barca to open up the title race, but in the end 3-3 must have been a great match to watch :k:
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
Premiership has just stormed to life after United first lost against Portsmouth and then drew against Middlesbrough today. Chelsea never give up. So if they win tomorrow, they will be only one point behind ManU and ManU Still have to visit stamford Bridge.
SerieA is the closest in recent years. Barca lead by just two points. Sevilla second and Real Madrid. All top four teams seperated by 6 points. Awesome. Its going right down to the wire.
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
I don't think Barcelona deserve the top spot. They have a pathetic away record.
And I think Chelsea will win the PL title. I get the feeling Man U may stutter at the end.
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
Damn. Cup is as good as MAn U's now. Damn Everton, couldn't keep their lead.
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
saby chelski is now 5 pts behind, lets see what else happens
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
Man U wins the league as goonerz and chelski draw. Interesting the way it unfolded. I for one am glad that jose and crew did nt win the prem, he is an ass.
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
^ But you gotta admit that Arsenal-Chelsea match was a masterclass. That match again showed WHY chelsea WERE champions for the last two seasons as they fought with ten men. No doubt ManU were the best team througout the season!
Chelsea-ManU match was meaningless in prermiership means as title was already over with FA cup final looming between same sides. should be a cracker of a match.
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
oh come on chelsea play a boring game of football. I am glad man U won. chelski plays a=with as much flair as germany of 80's, effective but oh so boring.
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
Man United - Champions of England, once again!
Looking at the season as whole now, I must say I'm little disappointed at Saha, Evra and sometimes O'Shea and Brown. The other were just great. Rooney was great, although I think he can do even better next season. 'Veterans' Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs have also played one of their best seasons so far, while Vidic confirmed his status as a great defender. Rio can still make some odd mistake but IMO he now is recognised as the best centre-half of England NT.
With 17 goals (!) and treble the assists, Ronaldo was the key man for United game. But in my eyes, the other key player was Edwin van der Sar who,(with the exception of two or three 'shaky moments' soon after his return from a broken nose), has ended discussion over a supposed goalkeeping problem. That was very important (if not the key) this season, because it is known that you can't win the title without having a good goalkeeper and Van der Sar (who saved an important penalty against ManCity) will forever be remembered as the man who ensured United won the title at City.
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
La Liga has been reignited by Real Madrid's superb run of form and incredible knack of scoring late late winners. They are the most inform team right now and thats because Capello has let players play attacking football. Beckham, RVN all have been in superb form. Yesterday they came from 3-1 behind to seal a win against espanyol and top the league for the first time in 19 months. Barca dropped two points today to be level on points but high on Goal difference. To top it off, Sevilla is only two points behind both of them and Valencia 4. A very tense end to the season.
In premiership, Carlos Tevez has ended season in sensational style by beating ManU at old trafford. West ham was all but relegated few weeks ago but little argentenian had a brilliant run of form to make them safe.
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
ManU had nothing lefy to play for and hammers had everything to play for.
so I guess an achievement for him was to save his team from relegation. Man U had already achieved what they wanted to achieve and thus did not really care much
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
so chelski wins FA cup
but what an awful boring match
yawn
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
What an amazing night at La Liga.
Real And Barca went into their respective matches needing to win both games to ensure title. RVN scored in last minute to draw against zaragoza 2-2 while Barca conceded in last minute to draw 2-2 against Espanyol!
So its still in Real’s hands and if they win against bottom side Mallorca at barnabue they will clinch this title after an amazing run! :k: Beckhm and RVN have been absolutely fantastic for Real in this amazing winning and last gasp scoring streak.
Last round of matches remain and Real have one hand on a major trophy after FOUR years.
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
it indeed was very amazing.
I really thought Madrid had lost it there, choking at the end. But somehow everything fell in place and all three title conteders drew their matches.
Madrid really have to secure the title next week :k:
Re: Premiership / Serie A / Primera Division and other leagues 2006/2007
^ Real have scored later than late goals in 8 of their last 10 matches, like in last four five minutes and in injury time. Breath taking stuff :k:
