Pregnancy

Re: Pregnancy

my question is dat anyone of u pregnant womam,do u have pain in lower abdomen during pregnency or in starting months??any of ur past experience?

Re: Pregnancy

That pain is usually like cramping feeling and its usually because the uterus is growing to make room for the baby... it's normal unless its very sharp pain and accompanied with bleeding/spotting, if so get it checked out by a doctor asap. Also best thing is, to take plenty of rest, avoid lifting any heavy items and try n put ur feet up (pillow to raise legs) wheneve possible.

Re: Pregnancy

Neera: Whether u have boy or girl inshallah I hope Allah gives u a healthy baby. I am having trouble finding a site where they have baby names too. Some websites give one meaning and when I look at another site it will give kind of a different meaning for the same name...I am going to ask my older sis for a baby book with names.
Nuzhat: Surprises are fun too....but I want to go baby clothes shopping so I am probably going to try to find out. Mashallah all of the names you chose are really cute. I like the name Bilal. You should look at the name with the best meaning and chose that one.
horizon: I never experienced any pain....

Question: Does anyone know how to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy? I know my body is really itchy but my mom told me not to itch myself otherwise it will cause more stretch marks....any other ideas on how to prevent it or reduce the already started marks???

Re: Pregnancy

I heard of a product in the UK, which has apparently gotten awards, called Mama Mio Tummy Butter. It helps prevent itchiness and strech marks. Has anybody used it? It’s only available in the UK and the USA.

Re: Pregnancy

hey pyaari83! congrats on your baby! i hope things go really well for you - insha’allah!

okay 2 things. buy some palmer’s cocoa butter, and buy their itchy skin oil spray. omg when i was itchy i wanted to itch my skin RAW…my husband had to hold my hands otherwise i’d start scratching my arms and face like a monkey… :stuck_out_tongue: but okay - the oil spray was a god send!!

you spray it on after showers, and i know that directions say dont rub it in..but i would..it felt good :snooty:

and using the cocoa butter is awesome. it has this buttery smell..which is sorta yucky..but it works awesome. i used it religiously…and i have no visible marks.

oh and both of these products…you can run to your grocery store and you’ll find 'em for sure…oterwise walgreens probly has 'em too!

Re: Pregnancy

If you do get stretch marks, use a product called Mederma after you give birth. It really helps to heal them and make them smaller and less noticeable

Re: Pregnancy

i had that horrible pain and suffered alot..the dr told me to have the pain killer for this and just rest as Sanam told..

i always imagine how do people have normal deliveries.like what they eat and do they do any sort of exercise or not?

everything is so tougher than usual life..while eating sweet things u r scared ur sugar levels may turn high..when u have salty things u r again feared abt ur bp..its so tough to manage! but those who had normal deliveries plz share what was ur lifestyle during pregnancy..

Re: Pregnancy

i only have one week left to the delivery...i feel pain sometimes...specielly when i walk and sit....i dont know what to do...any idea?

Re: Pregnancy

gud luck nuzhat!!!

Re: Pregnancy

Good luck nuzhat!

I had that pain with 2 of mine. It was the weight of the baby compressing the cervix and it did get painful at times. But it does help soften things up, getting ready for delivery. The best advice I can tell you is to scoot down, almost laying down when you sit and put your feet up, that will releive the pressure. Otherwise, endure it as you can because it can help make things go easier when the time comes!

Let us know when the little one arrives!!

Re: Pregnancy

How long do the uterus cramps (while the uterus is growing) last? Do women have it with each pregnancy or is it normally with the first one only?

Re: Pregnancy

Mehnaz, i am not sure how long these cramps last but from what i have heard people get them not only with the first but subsequent pregnancies as well. Again, some folks say they dont start having them until later in the pregnancy. Each person and each of their pregnancies can be different but i am sure the mothers here can shed more light on this.

Re: Pregnancy

dont be afraid of delivery....at the time of my delivery i was so relaxed and felt less(controlable )pain, coz in all my pregnancy i just made up my mind that...tthe delivery pain is not so hard, i m strong i can bear it...and u cant believe, i felt nothing very very dificult. coz psychology says it all about our mind.....u just have to control it then it will control ur pain.

Re: Pregnancy

thanks for the advice mamaof3...Im so tired of my pregnency now that i just want it over. I wanna hold my little baby in my arms now...aaahh

Re: Pregnancy

fazeelat: I know I probably need to do that too...tell myself that there will be no pain. But just the thought of delivery and how it is done scares me too...Inshallah I hope everything goes smooth.

Nuzhat: Ur tired...ur closer to ur delivery....I am already tired I still have 5 months. =( All this sickness and not wanting to eat this or that...its driving me crazy.

Re: Pregnancy

first of all---BAHUT batameez ho!!! batayaa tak nahin!
2nd of all--bahut bahut mubarak ho!!! i'm SOO happy for u! n i pray inshAllah everything will go well for u

n lastly--- besides from reading quran...when u r in the delivery room recite "Ya Allah Ya Rahman Ya Raheem" Keep repeating that and inshAllah Allah will help you get thru it easily. There's nothing better than reciting Allah's names at all times.

Re: Pregnancy

^ I am sowwie for not telling u! Maaf kardo....I have been so sick its hard to explain....but now I am better mashallah. Thanks for the dua I will Inshallah recite them! :)
