I am not bothered about the caste system practised in India.I have lived in Bali (Indonesia)for years and the pristine form of Hindusim is practised in Bali only.Where if a person who chooses the profession of a priest automatically becomes a Brahmin and if he ever reneges his job as priest and takes up some other profession, for example teaching,he becomes Shudra automatically.He is free to go back to his old profession anytime and can become a Brahmin and having taken up the profession of a Shudra he will not be barred/ostracized from his Brahmin community.Inded this is the original concept behind caste system.In the older days people were divided according to the kind of profession they pursued.But this system suffered a gret dent after some people termed this idea for their own sake.
