porn is about looking at sinning people, and enjoying it, which is a big sin! so as far as i'm concerned i would feel really sad if i caught my husband (when i'll be married) watching it, cause it would mean i made a mistake by marrying someone that was not as pious and moral as he pretended....i would feel cheated on! so i would have a serious discussion with him to sort it out!

I don't think anyone is supporting the act of watching...it's the reaction that's in question. However, some people can't see past things that are offensive to them..let alone be smart about knowing how to react to them. It shows how thick some people are when it comes to analyzing problems.

LI, not agreeing with pornography has nothing to do with a victim-complex. Similarly, nosy washer-woman woman conplex also bears no relevence if you catch my drift.
Its like all the years of struggle amount to nothing, everything that women have fought for is nullified when a woman is seen as merely a piece of meat. There is no attraction in porn beyond the very physical. Its animalistic and primal. The nature of it is also degrading. Some schools of thought argue that porn is the intention and rape the action.
In both (it is argued) there is a common vein i.e. the dissociation of the person from the act.
Alice Walker has written very elequently upon this subject, (if anyone is interested, its in "You Can't Keep a Good Woman down" the stories are called "Porn" and "Coming apart" ) albiet it is more specifically about the portrayal of black women in mainstream porn i.e they are treated/portrayed as animals. What does that say about the subconsious phychee of the poeple who get off on that kind of stuff?

Looks like this is working. Of all the people who watch porn, women constitute 30% (that's a whopping 1/3) and that number is expected to grow.
What's all the screeching about feminists' struggles to prevent women from being treated as pieces of meat? I can't speak intelligently about women's porn habits, but I am almost willing to bet that they are not looking at lesbian porn.

People are not fighting. They are arguing (at worse). DISCUSSIONS must take place with all point of views on EVERY topic at hand! That is THE ONLY way to come to a best conclusion!
Only thing We (Muslims) need to understand is to stop personal attacks and stick with objective and positive critisim when discussing something!

i agree…addiction to anything is utterly disgusting. It shows that one has no control over themselves. But i dont think this thread was about addiction. (i’ll have to reread the main topic). It’s about husbands watching porn in general. There are some men that arent addicted to it..they just watch it on occassions.
