I think there was case on this book in the Lahore High Court back in the 1950s. Shah Baleeghuddin is a strong supporter of this Abbasi. One of my old colleagues (back in 1985-1990) had this book. But I have lost his contact.

My that colleague openly declared Hazrat Ali as the muderer of Hazrat Usman and called Hussain as baghi/fasadi on the basis of that book.

suffice to say if Ali was the murderer than every muslim is also one as they accept him as the legitimate caliph and if Hussain was a fasadi then all ummat approves and supports his fasad ...:)

Sorry yar. I never agreed with the thoughts of that colleague. I was just quoting him. Yes he is the same Shah Baleeghuddin. People used to raise slogans of Yazid Zindabad during his rallies here in Karachi back in the 1970s and 1980s.

I read once that Ali raz didn't prosecute the killers of Usman, since the tribe member that did it was needed by the fourth caliph [tribe's support] for his rule? If it is true, then it set a very bad precedence of this "doctrine of necessity" right from the beginning...

The Prophet SAW never prosecuted Abdullah ibn Ubay ibn Salool (Chief of the hypocrites, as known by popularity) because he did not want to risk the fragmentation of the muslim society even though the hypocrites left the muslims high and dry one too many times. However he SAW had complete faith in Allah SWT that he would meet his fate according to his deeds and so he did. Doctrine of necessity should not be weighed by its desirable goal but by the consequential outcome of the move. A principle much forgotten and ignored today.

But did that munafiq went and killed a sahabi? Killing a sahabi or anyone change the dynamics a lot.. Hopefully, you know the difference between a promise and out right killing someone..
So how do we know that we will get the desired consequential outcome before hand of any move?

shreik11 plz dont derail this thread on sectarian lines .....killing of a sahabi had started even before this alleged murder was even committed .....this thread is solely about this book ....u can always start another one on the politics of that period ...I will appreciate your cooperation
