Please donate to help earthquake victims of Pakistan (merged threads)

Re: Please donate to help earthquake victims of Pakistan.

As far as i know, PIA in Houston only has passenger flights…and y only Houston?

New York has *cargo* flights to Pakistan...maybe they can do something...but i think monetary donations are the best way to help if u can, as Captain Lota said...

Re: Please donate to help earthquake victims of Pakistan.

sorry to say but I have 0 (zero) faith in our government/ministeries. We might donate US$1000, but what would reach the victims will be $20, however if you donate thru private charity organizations chances are that %70 of that will reach the victims … 30% will be used in achieving the goal.

I think goods would be better.. .less chance of fraud or theft. Good quality woollen blankets are needed.

I don’t know if ICNA’s website has been listed for donations yet or not, but here it goes:

Re: Please donate to help earthquake victims of Pakistan (merged threads)

Karachi residents can directly donate cloths, tents, medicines, food etc at PAF Museum at shahra-e-faisal. It is a breath taking scene, i was there after mid night & i have never seen such a massive relief program. Its huge, hundreds of volunteers (guys/girls) were helping army officials to collect/sort/pack stuff. The amount of donations were enormous, even after mid night ppl were coming non-stop.

If u go there please note that it is not a picnic point & seconds matter, there r alot of ppl who will guide which way u need to go depending on what sort of things u brought (i.e. medicine, cloths etc) follow the directions, u dont need to switch off ur car if its not needed, neither u need to step out of it, there r dozens of ppl who can take care of things u brought, just keep moving so hundreds of cars behind u can take there turns as soon as possible.

:bravo:
