I dont think anyone doubts his talent. He is best Batsman of his time. Just like SA is a good team but they tend to lose important game similarly Sachin is great batsman but India tends to lose when he scores a 100.

I think you need to read the original post again and look at the numbers.
^ so you can decide which if the two categories of naysayers you want to be in! :)
or hopefully, you are in a 3rd category, which says that just for the fun of it
well he is not on my ' All time Batsmen List ' but still he is a great player - and I dont agree with some one who says he is a selfish player - he is certainly not , he is just little cautious like he is still playing his first match - and I count that as a positive attribute ..
Sachin’s average has really shot up in the last decade and India and Pak have not played too many matches in the recent past. This is also reflected in his number of centuries against Pak.

I think it has more to do with pressure (of indo-pak games) and the quality of Pak bowling (even though Sachin did not play many tests against Pakistan when the two W's were at the top of their game)
kabhi humari bowling kee tareef bhi kar liya karo :D chalo jhootey moun hee sahi!!

Sorry :) I was also going to add that when Sachin played more frequently against Pak in the 90s, Pak had the awesome Imran, Wasim & Waqar and thats why his average was lower.

I would say the pressure factor more than quality bowling, since Sachin has been pretty effective against top class bowlers like McGrath, Warne & Murali.
Btw, IMO Sachin's 194 against Pak in 2004 is one of his best knocks.

Wow, the player who has every shot in the text books, plays all type of bowlers is not on anyone's all time list is a bit strange.
You need to look at the basis of ur analysis, A team is supposed to win if player scores a 100, at least 10 yrs ago thats how it ended mostly. If you loose couple of games it is acceptable but Tendulkar has some major luck crisis when he scores a ton.
You r saying India won more matches when Tendulkar scored a ton. Open Statistics of any other known players who has record worst than Tendulkar. Lets Just compare the percentages.

I remember that one and always ask myself why Dada didnt let him go for a double.
So why r a bunch of india fans harping about tendu here? I mean did the indian forums kick you out or you get special high by coming to a pak cricket site and doing this?
OK so we now clearly understand that Sachin is god for the indians. Anything else that needs to be shared here?

Jayewardene scored a ton in the WC finals, and SL still lost. Those days are long gone when a ton ensured a victory. 2-3 players playing knocks of 50+ runs is far more valuable in ODIs than one person scoring a ton and the rest just collapsing.
