re: Player: Sachin tons win games; Pakilarka: Sachin tons’ winning %age comparatively low

@Pakilarka

Lets compare the Tendulkar and Jawardene … who has better percentage of winning the game after hitting a ton… Shell we ?

@The_Player

Go ahead :k: Put some data behind your arguement.

@Pakilarka

ODI’s

Sachin’s ODI Record when he scored a 100

Total tons : 48
Won the game : 33
Lost the game : 13

Winning % = 33/48 * 100 = 68.75 %

Jayawardene’s ODI Record when he scored a 100

Total tons : 14
Won the game : 13
Lost the game : 01

Winning % = 13/14 * 100 = 92.85 %

@The_Player

Good, now we are talking

MJ has scored 14 centuries in 332 ODIs i.e. 1 century in every 24 ODIs
SRT has scored 48 centuries in 453 ODIs i.e. 1 century in every 9 ODIs

Their records are not even comparable. Why don’t you get a batsman whose record is more comparable to Sachin’s ? Or better still, look at the top 10 ODI centurymakers of all time and lets see how Sachin stacks up against them.

@The_Player

Ok, lets start with these 5 -

Sachin Tendulkar](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sachin_Tendulkar)
Ricky Ponting](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ricky_Ponting)
Sanath Jayasuriya](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanath_Jayasuriya)
Sourav Ganguly](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sourav_Ganguly)
Herschelle Gibbs](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herschelle_Gibbs)

Glad you get that

@Pakilarka

Sachin Tendulkar= 33/48 = 68.75 %
Sir Viv Richards = 11/11 = 100 %
Saeed Anwar 16/20 = 80 %
Ricky Ponting = 25/30 = 83.33 %
Sanath Jaysuria = 24/28 = 85.71 %
Hershelle Gibbs = 15/21 = 71.4 %
Sourav Ganguly =18/22 = 81.81 %

That Settles it
