Platinum Jublee Match India v/s Pakistan

beetin india

to be honest india is not in our league anymore, we are a betta team overall as we have always been until recently, india just had a very good patch around world cup and uptill australian and pakistan series, with there current bowling they do not deserve to win test matches alone on kumble........ and all of a sudden there batting looks fragile as well .........

so end of the day given pakistan has beet them convincingly a few times now it doesn't really matter what the outcome of jubliee match is.............. pakistan has always been a betta team in history ...........

Until we get rid of the ghost of Farhat, our opening future will remain in air. I am serious, Taufeeq/Yasir/Salman make a good selection pool for both tests and ODI, we should be consistant with them.

I dont agree with you yaar,
Imran is also, check out the Pair and their performance

T. Umer and I. Farhat, after a long time since
Sohail and Saeed we got something going, and they(PCB) had to mess it up all together

Perhaps for Test it should be
Taufiq and Imran

and for ODIs
Salman and Yasir.

There is no point in making prediction for ONE one-day match.
Whichever team has the better day would win i.e. considering luck, toss, umpiring decisions etc.
If it was a full series however..I would have favoured Pakistan to win. As I have maintained Pakistan has near perfect one-day team composition which I think is second only to Australia's. Can't say the same thing for test matches though.

^People always hype up players who have been of the team for a long time (like Taufeeq Umar). If he was such a good player dont you think he would be on the team?
Check his results the last time he played International cricket (in Kenya). Kenyan bowlers (who I’m sure I could score runs off) got him out over and over again.
I’m not sure he’s Wajahatullah Wasti, forget about Amer Sohail :rotfl:
No, I think we have a decent thing going with Yassir, lets not right him of, we should stick with him. Also Salman Butt looks promising, though I wont make judgement on him yet since he still has’nt played in any big games. If he plays on Friday then we will see what he’s made of and if he can perform in pressure situations or not.

Some1 i totally aggree with you. There is no way you can tell wich team is better by having them play one one day match. i wish this was a series of 3 or 5 one dayers.
But knowing Pakistan and knowing that we did beat India in the last 3 out of 3 times we faced them, we might actually lose this one. India has a good batting line up and it has not been clicking recently, but we all know that Sehwaq and Tendulkar always play well against Pakistan. I just hope that Pakistan does not take this game easy.

the fact that we gonna loose to them would be their Jublee gift :D

i think imran farhat is still a good player... he needs to work on his mindset and i think he'll be fine...i dont know why he shud get the axe so soon, he's only played 21 ODI's and 13 tests... his test record isnt that bad either...yasir is a good choice in both forms of the game, because he's a right handed bat, and all our other openers, farhat, taufeeq and butt are left handed...the right/left hand opening combo is more important than many ppl think...

My team for the one dayer wud be:

01 Imran Farhat - Taufeeq Umar
02 Salman Butt
03 Shoaib Malik
04 Inzimam Ul Haq
05 Yousuf Youhana
06 Kamran Akmal
07 Abdul Razzaq
08 Shahid Afridi
09 Rana Naved
10 Mohammed Sami
11 Shoaib Akhtar

8-9 batsmen, 6 bowlers,

Here's my team :

Imran Farhat
Salman Butt
Shoiab Malik
Inzamam - Ul - Haq
Yousuf Youhana
Abdul Razzaq
Shahid Afridi
Kamran Akmal
Naved - Ul - Hasan
Mohammad Sami
Shoiab Akhtar

I would play the team listed by Yasir with only one change. Younis Khan for Akmal.

Ehsan Bhai I want the same thing...but I doubt Pakistan will play Younis as a keeper. Even though Younis performed reasonably well behind the stumps...but as soon as Moin was fit, he came back into the team. Pakistan are keen to play a specialist keeper...so I think Akmal will get the call...although I want Younis to be the keeper for the ODI's as well.
