Re: PIA flights with babies
^they don't.
Re: PIA flights with babies
Oh no then what can i do? Any suggesstions or will i just nee to hold my baby the whole time?
Re: PIA flights with babies
i cant remember if they had bassinets or not on PIA flights out from the US. One thing you can do is request your seat in a row with empty seats so you can place the baby on the empty seat while he/she is sleeping. If there arent any empty seats then you might just have to hold her.
Re: PIA flights with babies

Re: PIA flights with babies
haha devilish really? maan kay hathoun say barh kar koi seat belt nahi? hahaha what an excuse :haha:
Btw i had an awesome experience (contrary to my expectations) with PIA from Chicago to Barcelona to ISB and back. The staff was extremely helpful and really nice to my daughter. I was hesitant to ask for milk but when my husband asked for it, they were kind enough to wash her bottle with hot water and fill it with milk. On one leg they asked me themselves if i needed any milk. I was extremely impressed. But their inflight entertainment system left something to be desired for the kids.

Re: PIA flights with babies
^or call the airline the airline directly?
Re: PIA flights with babies
Yeah sahar i will do
Re: PIA flights with babies
Yeah sahar i will do
**what you should do is this:
-look up seat map of your flight and the type of aircraft they are using for that flight
*-look up which seats are against the wall in the middle of the row [D,E,F,G in a 3-4-3 configuration on a wide body aircraft. i think they operate Boeing B-777-200]
call the airline OR go online to your 'My Reservation' and select that seat from that seat map. some airlines do charge extra for the so called 'comfort seats' in the bulk-head area of the aircraft.*
-some airlines reserve those bassinet seats for Airport Check-in ONLY...so check with PIA if that's the case****
Good Luck! :)**
Re: PIA flights with babies
u need to request bulkhead seat, all bulkhead seats have passinet
Re: PIA flights with babies
not sure if you can take a car seat with you but its a suggestion...what about if you take your car seat with you and have a seat thats at the front of the row so you have more room for yourself and can put baby either on the floor in the seat or next to you if you have a seat free??
Hi, they will only provide you a baby cot if they have one available. Just mention while check in at the airport desk that you want a cot for your baby and want to be seated in the first row. And the idea of a car seat is even more better. Because the staff is not always co-operative. I hv travelled so many times from amsterdam to isb, there was no other airline available. So try that :)
Re: PIA flights with babies
Can i put a new born baby 6 week old in a car seat for long periods??
I did think of car seat as atleast will be clean too but wasnt sure if my baby will be comfy in it for so long??
Soorry guys a u can tell im clueless!
Re: PIA flights with babies

they will NOT allow a baby in a car seat as per IATA rules, the babies must be held in your lap during take off and landing AND no one must be in an unsecured seat. the car seat will be a safety hazard for both the child N other passengers.

That clears that up then :D
Re: PIA flights with babies
You have to request one at the time they are giving you a boarding pass.PIA usually has the bassinets,I used them when I traveled with my 6 month old.Unfortunately they were unable to fix it in the wall, and we had to put it on the floor,in my feet...but it actually worked well. One thing,it was pretty dirty...!!..I used the plane blankets and the cotton blankets I was carrying to cover the entire thing before putting the baby in.
Re: PIA flights with babies
^ It's pretty sad that it was dirty.
