People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

How do you explain the fact that first generation Pakistanis, not the real hard working second and third generation spoilt prats in the West, send back billions in remittances to Pakistan, People's Chump?

Do you know why many Pakistanis cannot work? Because they dont have an education, since there was a lack of institutions when it was formed. Those that do have places in tertiary education go on to do very well, and work hard, probably harder for much less pay than most people would be accustomed to. It's a simple fact that many first generation Pakistanis were hard workers, their sons and daughters turned out like you, moaning and groaning and griping all day whilst being taken care of by papa jee's dollars.

Just coz Clubber Laing clubbed your brain cell too much, it is no excuse.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

I sumwhat agree with you Peoples champ, but if you read Rockistans post he is saying sumthing different, and offensive. So i dont how u can agree with him.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

^^ Disagree with you also..Pakistan does have work experience for those who can get tertiary education places. That is standard in almost every country that isnt 4th world.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

Ok, once again...how do you expect teens in Pakistan to find jobs when even many college educated people fail to do so? Majority of teens working here in North America are working in grocery stores or department stores, both of which are hardly available in Pakistan. Maybe in movies people have the power to change the society around them by somehow doing something magical but such BS isn't possible in the real world. Teens have can't do anything in Pakistan so what do you expect them to do other than stay inside their houses?

And no, Pakistan isn't relatively unsuccesful in its 60 year history because its citizens are "lazy". If you look beyond these pointless generalizations you would realize that countries become succesful/unsuccesful depending on their government. There needs to be a leader (figaritive) to lead its citizens into the right direction. If the CEO of a company is incompetant and cannot lead the employees in the right direction, the company will fail for sure. It doesn't mean the company failed because its employees were lazy. It means that the employees were mis-used because they weren't assigned their work properly or weren't assigned anything at all. Likewise, the country of Pakistan has been plagued by corruption and misuse of resources at the government level throughout its history, which limits the country development by a huge margin. It doesn't matter what the citizens of Pakistan do because it will make little difference.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

^^ the people and the govt are equally guilty of corruption, its not just govt organisations and institutions that are corrupt, u'll find many businessmen (and wealthy ones too) operating the same way. i dont buy this crap of ppl having to steal because they have to do what they have to in order to survive. what a retarded excuse. the people and the govt are both to blame and remember the ppl who work in the govt were once ordinary people too.
and those of u who cant stand the though of anything negative being said against pakistan or any of its faults being pointed out, plz go back to what u were doing, u so-called patriots are part of the problem too

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

Yeah, and ur part of the solution.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

Ummm....who here said corruption is needed for people to survive? roadrunner was saying poor people (the ones who live in the slums) require to steal in order to live. Which is true. Its not only pakistanis. Look at countries in south America. Every slum is infested with crime because they need money to survive.

And the problem with Pakistan is people like you, who think they are better than the rest when in reality they really aren't. I've met countless Pakistanis, in person, who go on to criticize the short-comings of Pakistan as a nation, as if they are really enlightened or something. But after a while, you realize that those people are in fact worse and have no ethical or moral values what so ever. I've been burned enough times by such people to realize that anyone who goes on about "Pakistanis are so lazy, corrupt blah blah blah" is not to be trusted. I usually hate to generalize but since it seems to be the new flavour of the month, why not?

And as a self-respecting person, I think I have a right to tell you that no, I don't go on bashing Pakistan at every oppurtunity I get and no, I don't steal or do any of the dodgy things that people like you attribute Pakistanis with. Heck, I'm not even Pakistani yet I know better than to bash the country that I was born in just to look down upon its citizens and raise my self-esteem that way.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working…

well said indeed.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working…

We can surely agree to disagree but you’re missing the point here. First of all you need to accept the truth…jsut because people say something negative towards Pakistan doesn’t mean that you start jumping to conclusions thinking they hate there own country. My father agrees with me on this topic and he has great ethical and moral values so again you’re generalizing yourself. The point here is that if people get off there butts and do something they’ll get some where. You can’t just sleep all day along and not do any action and expect a reaction. You must go out and find something to do…it’s cause of people like you who encourage them not to listen to us and say, “Good job beta, school jao or akay sojao.” That’s how life is suppose to be…those damn amreekans don’t know nothing. They all just work real hard all day long, missing out on sleep countless times, having trouble paying bills but yet they’re the bad guys cause they have better technology and we don’t.

Load of crap - I love how some of you talk like we’re hating on our country. Get that out of your mind already.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

Some examples that I can give :

A writer publishes a novel and expects a percentage from each book that he sells at different stores. In Pakistan they'll make copies of it and tell the writer, "Sorry sir but not a single copy sold."

Some one invents a new machine of some sort....instead of getting it pattened people start thinking of ways to sell it to other countries for a few louzy dollars and not realizing the damage it would trigger.

You land at the airport and take a taxi to your home town and on your way home the taxi driver gets pulled over by the honest police officers who either ask him or us for some liquid cash. In some cases the drivers and cops are together and they'll tell you to step out and when you do the drivers off with your stuff.

Kids go to school and always want the fast way (shortcut) on making or getting money in any way possible. They'll rob there own family members let alone a stranger which is pretty common all over Pakistan.

Adults go to work and sign in pretending to be there taking advantage of government jobs or simply doing what they're best at.

ALMOST EVERY wealthy man in Pakistan ends up doing things that aren't legit cause if they don't then the other man will end up taking everything they have.

I swear you can't even walk down a street with a fricken camera not knowing when and who will come by and snatch it away from you.

Poor innocent little kids of all ages sitting on side streets weeping and begging for food/money. I remember asking myself the following question to this cute little kid who had no hands -

"What happened to your hands?" he replied saying, " Meray something nay kiya hai."

It always bothers me not knowing what he said or whose name he mentioned cause it's like a blurr but my uncle beside me told me that no it's dhanda around here. Welcome to Pakistan.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

^That is sad, but it's reality, things like this happen, only time can resolve them, this happens in all third world countries maybe removing a dictator would help.

Who says that, thats just plain stupid, n evem if they r said to be bad guys it's because of their morality, nothing else.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

Ok please tell me this right now. What do you expect them to do? I've already given my reasons of how is not possible for kids to find jobs in Pakistan in my previous posts. I'll tackle your other ridiculous points later on.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

How about every one of them gets up and starts off by cleaning the city streets. Trust me when you want to find work, you'll find tons of it. No will then no way - you don't always have to get paid to do something.

I was 16 and my first job was to go clean the park w/ a group of kids as volunteer work...while we were cleaning a man pulled up in a ice cream truck and gave us free ice cream and told us that he'll give us each a $1 for each kid that comes out during those hours to buy his ice cream. I knew a lot of kids and we all played in our complex and this ice cream guy never came out that way so I improvised and told him to come down this street where all the kids were and I never asked him for his dollars. One of the kids later on worked part time for this guy cause he opened a ice cream store nearby our shopping strip which did well. The same guy also hired one of the kids dads to drive around his ice cream truck.

Look how one action went from where to where and ended up helping out so many people in so many different ways without raising an empire or building a business of 100000 dollars.

If we all sat on our asses none of this would've ever happened. Cry me a river.

Point proven - bring it on.

I'd be the first one to say that this really is disgusting and it really does happen in Pakistan. Is this enough to draw the conclusion that Pakistani = lazy? No

Some one invents a new machine of some sort....instead of getting it pattened people start thinking of ways to sell it to other countries for a few louzy dollars and not realizing the damage it would trigger.

Canada provided Pakistan with uranium (I think) for power generation back in the 70s. Pakistan proceeded to use that resource in its own nuclear research program for military. Does that mean Canadians = lazy? No

You land at the airport and take a taxi to your home town and on your way home the taxi driver gets pulled over by the honest police officers who either ask him or us for some liquid cash. In some cases the drivers and cops are together and they'll tell you to step out and when you do the drivers off with your stuff.

This is ridiculous and rarely ever happens. But if its happened to you, or any one you knew, than yes, it is wrong. I still don't see the connetction between Pakistan and lazy though. Also, I hope you know there are con artists everywhere. I've been conned here in Canada many a times and I don't proceed to draw conlcusions about Canada as a whole after that incident.

Kids go to school and always want the fast way (shortcut) on making or getting money in any way possible. They'll rob there own family members let alone a stranger which is pretty common all over Pakistan.

*I don't know what you're talking about so I won't comment on it. Though I agree with the fact that there Pakistani parents need to teach their kids with moral values at a very young age, instead of religious rhetorics that even the parents don't truly understand themselves. *

Adults go to work and sign in pretending to be there taking advantage of government jobs or simply doing what they're best at.

You mean people actually apply for jobs that they aren't completely suited for? Shock upon shock!

ALMOST EVERY wealthy man in Pakistan ends up doing things that aren't legit cause if they don't then the other man will end up taking everything they have.

Thats a ridiculous assumption and is based on nothing. Though I hope you know that succesful bussinessmen in the west aren't exactly beacon of ethical values either.

I swear you can't even walk down a street with a fricken camera not knowing when and who will come by and snatch it away from you.

*Thats your paranoia which is based on here say. I've never expereinced such a thing. Actually, I've always lived in Islamabad so I don't really know what the situation is like in Karachi but pick-pocketing is pretty common in other developing countries as well.
*

Poor innocent little kids of all ages sitting on side streets weeping and begging for food/money. I remember asking myself the following question to this cute little kid who had no hands -

People who do that are absoltuely sick and scum of the earth, that exist in every society. To generalize a common Pakistan with that example is ignorant

It always bothers me not knowing what he said or whose name he mentioned cause it's like a blurr but my uncle beside me told me that no it's dhanda around here. Welcome to Pakistan.

Typical attitude of someone with a superiority complex. I'm sure your uncle doesn't let you in on all the wrong doings that he does when you aren't with him

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

Thats America. There's no such infrastructure available in Pakistan. By that I mean there are no volunteer organizations for kids that can provide them with such oppurtnies. I'm sure you wouldn't be cleaning the park if that job didn't go on your record. And the people who are involved in organizations like EDHI pull more than fair share of their weight, so your point is really non-existant.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

Rockistan:
And him doing that got 2 jobs out of it out of how many kids? You don't think that there are kids and adults in Pakistan that r going out looking for jobs day in and day out? And where was it?

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

Rockistan, you have raised many points fit for a lemming to answer, too many idiot points in one go for me to go through them all, but one by one I'll go through them

*Silly point 1 *

A writer publishes a novel and expects a percentage from each book that he sells at different stores. In Pakistan they'll make copies of it and tell the writer, "Sorry sir but not a single copy sold."

*WTF!! A writer publishes a novel and the store buys books FROM the publisher. That is how it works all over the world including in Pakistan. What you are talking about is an underground trade where some amateur writer writes a book, binds it himself and asks Uncle Ackmed to sell his book in his store. This is not the PROFESSIONAL route done in any country in the world, including Pakistan. This is completely bogus point, and I have a feeling your next points (which I havent read yet), will also be. *

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

You're an extremely irritating person Rockistan, the least you could do is get your facts right and say what you think. Are you some fat kid with access to Papa jee's computer when he's at work?

*Silly point 2 *

Some one invents a new machine of some sort....instead of getting it pattened people start thinking of ways to sell it to other countries for a few louzy dollars and not realizing the damage it would trigger.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

Actualy the bolded part is written by me. And yes, it did happen (though not exactly how I told it in the overly-simplfied version of my previous post).Canada gave Pakistan a CANDU reactor due to the fact that you don't need enriched uranium and also since you don't need large industry to manufacture the parts. Pakistan broke the agreement they had with the Canadian government and detonated a nuclear bomb with the plutonium that the reactor produced.

Re: People love sleeping in Pakistan and hate working...

*Silly point 3 *

Happens in every developing country where rich tourist comes to poor country.** When I have been to Pakistan, I've never been stopped by the police, or has the car I've been in.**
