All the refugees settled in Punjab were from the Lahore and Jalandhar division, and parts of Ambala District. These were and are ethnic Punjabis. Muslim communities from Karnal, Rohtak, Dujana, Pataudi and Gurgaon, as well as from the Chief Commisioner’s Province of Delhi were sent to Sindh. The earliest refugees in Karachi came from these regions. Sardar Shaukat Hayat Khan Khattar, the Refugee minister made clear he only wanted Punjabis. I must commend Pir Illahi Bukhs of Sindh, who worked long and hard for the resettlement of refugees.
So one of your so called myth turns out to be a fact. I go through all of them, but that would take up far too much of my precious time.
