Moved to another city after marriage though.

There’s a ‘huge’ pakistani community in Rotterdam. Did you try socializing @ university? There should be plenty of pakistani’s there?!

That's true. I went to Rotterdam around 8 years ago and the place was full of Pakistanis. I was staying in a rather Desi area though. :D

^ dankjewel lievtje! :meeno: some of the words are such a pain i swear … i cant understand anything if someone just says it, unless i look at it … pronunciation is a headache … easpecially when it comes to ‘G’ and ‘R’ … and also the accent is so different from north to south to west … i think i will loose it!

but ok … so what do the paki dutchies like to do? favorite shops and hang out places?

Hi Shinnnoooo … and i saw a ray of light … until i read you moved … why why whyyyyyyyyyyy … :frowning: … yahan per itna mixed culture hai k ab i cant really differentiate … i especially get confused between the indians and suriname … and honestly … shaid meinay pakistani dekhay houn … magar i never recognise them as pakistanis … ya to they look so differnt k pata nahi chalta …
and i also live in zuid-rotterdam … so lehaza i am living in the central part of the mixed community …
as for my university … the building i go to is a separate unit for two masters departments … and wahan pakistani to duur ki baat … koi asian bhi nahi hai … well aik singaporian tha … all covered in tattoos and strange hai … electronic musician … ab uska kya karoun mein?
i cant find people on the street becuz i really want to stay away from the “Haw Hai” type people … as someone clarified :meeno: … hahahahah

and dil pakistan … achi khasi dutch bol letay ho … i had to open up a translator to completely understand what you’ve written!

^ Awww bechaari, you're actually in the middle of the 'pakistani' part of Rotterdam (Zuid) :D There used to be quite a few get-to-gethers and parties especially for pakistani girls in Rotterdam. I heard they're slowly dying down now though.
Last week youm-e-azaadi ke moqai par bhi aik party/gathering thi. Agar pehle pata hota then I would've told you about it! And btw I still regularly visit Rotterdam as it's my hometown and my family still lives there :-)
And yes kaafi 'haw haye' type of people bhi hain...staying away would be a rally good idea :D

I will keep my eyes/ears open for you. Maybe there will be an Eid party somewhere?!

uf i miss my desi kapray and shoes so much!! ye soch ker k kahan pehn ker jaoungi ... kisi jo janti b nahi houn ... aur uper say waisay he mera bag itna heavy ho gya tha k i couldnt bring much anyways ... shaan masalajat aur saunf supari packets say bhara hua tha mera bag .... lol
ab to jeans pehn pehn ker meri matt mari gayi hai :(
