Re: Sectarian War at Karachi Book Fair
Well, I think we have to take stand against extremism of all kinds, especially religious extremism … provided that we want to be called a civilized nation.
Our nation can do it. People just need to see that what is bad for one group today will be bad for them as well tomorrow. Extremism won’t stop wherever we want it to be stopped. It will eventually engulf the whole nation.
So nip the evil in the bud.
Iran does not need stalls in a cultural show to propagate any religious literature. There is plenty, perhaps too much, already available everywhere in the country about every sect, every belief and lack of it. And if books are not enough then there is internet.
It was therefore obvious that ASWJ only did it to create trouble. And unfortunately succeeded in their hateful design.
The existence of ASWJ/Taliban/LJ/etc. is based on hatred. They know no compromise. Only way to stop them is through the use of force and total ban on their propagation activities in the country.
