Re: Pakistan's top judge is suspended (Merged)
I am truly amazed how you guys are so hooked up with " Dictator of the Time" getting away with the Law but no body wants to cry on the Corruption aspects of this issue....Why would a CJ appoint his son who secures 16 out of 100 marks to the police department(that's a small example of the wrong doing there are many others).....??? Regarding slapping etc etc....Why would this CJ resist the police when he has been suspended & put under a house arrest???
Re: Pakistan’s top judge is suspended (Merged)
Ok…you have lost your credibility a long time back, when you started siding with a corrupt person…who has been suspended & being investigated ![]()
Re: Pakistan's top judge is suspended (Merged)
getting personal every now and than is different to getting personal in every post. Yes if done repeatedly than it does mean that the argument is lost.
so getting personal in the same thread every so often means that teh argument is partially lost? is there a formula? merci
Re: Pakistan's top judge is suspended (Merged)
^There is no formula because it is not a science but if you can't argue your point and have to resort to personal attacks most of the time than doesn't say much about your point of view or your argument. Does it?
Re: Pakistan’s top judge is suspended (Merged)
LOL, as if US officers would dare lay their hands on a US Supreme Court Justice
As if the US Army chief would dare overthrow the elected leader, then dimiss the Chief Justice
Great example, fantastic arguments you are bringing to the table! ![]()

Digging a deeper hole for yourself.
Using connections, politcial or personal, to get a family member a govt job is the norm in Pakistan, not that u know what goes on in Pakistan
Re: Pakistan's top judge is suspended (Merged)
^ And then people like yourself support these idiots.....I am digging the hole ..ok...well you are already sitting in it & now pray for your idol,he is not going anywhere other then jail.Besides this is not using the connection ...this is cheating...I am sure his son went into medical college the same way..
Re: Pakistan’s top judge is suspended (Merged)
I will not argue with you. It seems that if I would argue, I would have to explain all impressions and expressions of words and phrases I use (used) in my posts (even though, they are all normal English phrases). ![]()
Only thing I would like YOU to think of is the meaning of the word ‘It seems’ :). I hope that you know the meaning and why this phrase is used.
It is because, when a person uses the word ‘it seems’ it means that a person is making comment on reaction of others when they hearing something (or encountering something). It is phrase that shows what one see (or observe) in others.
It seems that you have never seen or eaten banana does not mean that you did not ever saw or ate banana, it only means that your reaction when seeing or eating banana is not normal, and that you are confused about banana. That’s all ![]()
For instance, what I wrote was that when Pakistanis hear the word ‘suspension’ or word ‘enquiry’ there reaction, their understanding of these words, their translation of these words, all are not what these words really mean. (Read my post again and try to understand it). ![]()

Saad_USA, the Iftikhar Chaudry may be the most corrupt human being in the history of the world. He still deserves a fair trial. If he can't get one, what hope is their for a chaprasi to get a fair trial in this country.
Saleem, I think judges and lawyers likely do know what those words mean.

** Saleem, I think judges and lawyers likely do know what those words mean**.
Well, it doss not seem so. Else, there would have been no (if any) hue and cry on chief justice being referred for enquiry and suspended, especially when story of his nepotism came on surface in media. In such situation, I believe that suspension and enquiry is most desirable, so that Pakistan can have a chief justice that is not tainted.
Actually, looking at all this hue and cry in Pakistan over suspension and enquiry, a person starts questioning why? Seeing all this, the only answer comes in mind is that chief justice must be really corrupt (nepotism is also corruption) and guilty of misconduct, and thus under the threat of enquiry, to derail the enquiry, all this hue and cry is created by those having sympathy with chief justice (his corruption, nepotism and misconduct) and want to help chief justice from getting away with enquiry.
** To me, an honest person would not mind suspension and enquiry, especially when such news on his misconduct, nepotism, and corruption has already got published in media. **
Chief Justice should not have been worried about injustice in enquiry, as enquiry is getting done by his own fellow brother eminent judges of High Court and Supreme Court (not Pervaiz Musharraf or con-men in parliament (aka Parliamentarians). Obviously, one have to trust those judges, as all those judges are very experience judges and have heard cases of ordinary Pakistanis since long time. If those judges are not reliable then what chief justice was doing with them while in office (this chief justice is there as CJ since 2005 and if any of the judges in SJC are unreliable, this CJ should have acted on them long time ago).
Thus, there are no excuses with CJ and his supports that they are trying to shy away from enquiry, other then that they believe that CJ is guilty and thus they are scared that CJ under enquiry would be found guilty, so make hue and cry. It is obvious that all that are demanding no enquiry for CJ are scared, because they are corrupt themselves and feel that if CJ can be enquired, they are also not safe in future.
Other possibility regarding some making hue and cry could be that apart of trying to save a corrupt person, it is possible that these lawyers, politicians, and ex-judges do not know the meaning of ‘enquiry’ and ‘suspension’ (I mean, in its correct context) and thus they are behaving as they are.
I hope that CJ comes out clean (and if not, he deserve to be sacked) as having a tainted CJ in office is worse then having tainted person in any other office of power, but as it is going on and the way CJ and his supporters are acting before enquiry started, it does not seem that CJ is innocent.

Perhaps it will come as a surprise to you that people, opposing suspension and house arrest of CJ are doing it bcoz they feel (and these include 90% of Pakistanis) is to cover up its own corruption.
CJ had stopped privitization of Steel Mill which our Prime Minister wanted to hand over to his friends in Habib Group.
CJ was taking notice of disappearance of people who are in gov custody and are being denied basic human rights.
CJ did not assure President of his support for "uniform".
Had corruption been so important to Mush, he wud have followed the cases of his own ministers who have references against them in NAB, like Faisal Saleh Hayat and Sher Pao. He shud have taken action against people who had turned PIA into third class airline.
If measures against nepotism were applied across the board on everyone, i wud have supported it.

Top lawyers refuse to plead govt case
Not only that former law minister and eminent lawyer** Fakhur-ud-Din G Ibrahim and S.M Zafar have refused to fight the case but the Attorney General for Pakistan, Makhdoom Ali Khan **has also made it clear to the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) that he was not representing the govt in the proceedings, sources pointed out.
Re: Pakistan's top judge is suspended (Merged)
Media managers have reportedly long ceased, for fear of inciting his wrath, placing negative comment before the president, whose arrogance has expanded frighteningly since he took over in 1999.
Re: Pakistan's top judge is suspended (Merged)
^ So what's your solution...Bring back the CJ....What would be his credibility then???
