Stupid logic. Islam is relevant here because we are discussing Sikhs/minorities in Pakistan, which is a 97% Islamic majority country. Not sure how my religion is relevant to any of that, other than you trying obviously hard to side track the main issue.
Well, logic is always stupid too a stupid person...
So what if Pakistan is 97 percent Muslim? Where does Islam have any role in the status of this Sikh? He isnt beholden to any Islamic laws.
No one mentioned Jizya other then you... What does that have to do wth anything? No one is Pakistan pays Jizya tax. Its a figment of your delusional Hindu Indian mind.
Your religion is relevant because if you are going to ATTACK Islam, then we have a right to point out the many sexist and discriminatory practices of your religion as well.
And what exactly is the issue in your mind? Why are you even posting in this thread? Why is it even relevent to you how a PAKISTANI Sikh feels about his country? Are you suddenly the Thekadar of all minorities in Pakistan?!?!
Personally, I dont understand why your even on this forum?!?! What place does an Indian have here? Your family left Pakistan decades ago. Move on with your life. I dont post on Indian forums, so why are you so obsessed with Pakistan?
Yeah, another of your brilliant Indian friends posting deluded Indian garbage. We already told you, no one in Pak pays Jizya tax… And yet your still talking about it.
Now you can admit that you were wrong and that Jizya has no place in this conversation. Another moronic Indian statement refuted. Just like your nonsense about the disappearance of Pakistans minorities, for which you have no evidence.
Still wondering… Why are you even here? What is your purpose? What point are you trying to make>?
player ... did u ever learn to appreciate something?? i think not!! my thread had nothing to do with religion ... it was ONLY ABOUT PATRIOTIC PAKISTANI!! ... not abt their faith! Every Pakistani equally love their country regardless of their faith or culture!! ...
and med like I said earlier .. you are seriously wasting your time!! :(

It takes some intelligence to decipher sarcasm from literal statements, so can't blame you for not picking up the sarcasm in the threads about jaziya.

Yes, we get the joke... It wasnt funny. Cheap jokes like that portray the general Indian mindset. Its nothing more then general ignorance cloaked in bad humor, devoid of sense.
If it were a Pakistani making such a comment on an Indian site, he would have been in for much more. Consider yourself lucky your stupidity is tolerated.
Still wondering why your even posting in this thread... What does this have to do with India? Are you upset that a Non Muslim has something positive to say about his country, Pakistan?

What joke ? It wasn't funny - it was sarcastic. Ask someone if you do not know the difference.
I see that my remark about a jizya discount for patriotic Sikh has sparked some debate. Whether it was effective or not, I meant it as mildly sarcastic and certainly did not imply all of Pakistan is that way. But parts of Pakistan is certainly that way as evidenced below:
In particular the second link is quite disturbing as it says the Sikh community has had to agree to pay kizya, not just a demand for it!
All oneupmanship aside in this thread, do any of you disagree that Pak government must eradicate this practice if they consider Sikh and Hindu to be their citizen, especially after the kind of patriotism this Sardar demonstrates?
PS: BTW I simply googled and got the above links, so have no way of knowing how accurate they are. But I do remember reading these as news items some time ago, which is why I made the remark in the first place.
Mera bhai. Your refering to the demands of the TALIBAN. A criminal organization, that is actually using the tax as a way of extortion.
There is no official Jizya tax in Pakistan, and no minority actually pays it. So why would the govt ban somthing that does not exist?!?!?
You should know that the Sikhs living in the Tribal area live there because they were SAFE there. They were offered protection as far back as the time of Aurangzeb by the tribal Pathans. During partition they were also safe from the atrocities being committed in Punjab thanks to the Pashtun honor codes.
The problems the Sikhs have faced recently are an anomaly created by criminal Taliban extremists, not an ongoing phenomenon. The reason the Sikhs have stayed in Peshawar and up till now in the tribal belt is a testament to the Pashtun tolerance.
So show some respect when you speak. Afterall, as history has proven, far worse has happened to Sikhs in their supposed haven in India, then in any part of Pakistan.

^ ok guys. If you're happy with how minorities are treated in your country, fine. May be we shouldn't go into how the Bindranwale movement etc was instigated

Who said we are happy? Im the first to admit Pakistans MANY failures in regards to minorities.
Im simply asking you to not exaggerate and distort the situation.
Regardless of how Bindranwale movement started, there is no excuse for the murder of so many innocent Sikhs.
So before you start criticizing us for the antics of terrorists like the Taliban, who by no means represent Pakistanis, or Pakistans policy towards Sikhs, you should acknowledge the 2000 or so killed by your Indian mobs. Criticize where you must, but do so honestly. What your doing is dishonest and misrepresents the actual facts.
Even today Taleban enjoys support from within your government establishment - if you consider ISI part of the establishment. They run a protection racket that ruins whole communities. And you start talking about Aurangazeb history.
I grant it that Taleban does not represent Pakistan. Pakistani people are bound to be not too unlike a lot of Indian people for obvious reasons of ethnicity, geography, religion and culture. And both are stupid and dumb in terms of mob mentality when it comes to religious war.
But the essential difference is minorities are in danger in India only when such mob hysteria happens - whereas in Pakistan, whether it is at the hands of Taleban or sheer intolerance exhibited by the forces that stress the 'Islamic' part of the country's name, it seems to be an everyday misery.
