Re: Pakistani born British Soldier dies in Afghanistan
Be that as it may, do you really think that living in Kabul under the Taliban rather than in Dallas, you can criticize the Taliban government?
Did you read what happened in Somalia when people were shot watching the world cup? Is this really the kind of place you want to grow up?
How exactly can these people thrive? Besides a mis-interpretation version of Islam what else do these people know? How many universities did the Taliban build?
And If you lived under the Taliban, if you didnt go with the flock, you would be called a heretic and a apostate and killed.
You also know that the Internet was banned under the taliban so I guess no gupshup for you as well:D

I have lived in Saudi Arabia, I have lived in Pakistan (esp when 20-30 people were being killed everyday in 1992-1996 era). BTW, do you really read my posts or is it really stuck in you that Taliban are considered angels by me? :)

How many Universities did Karzai build? Even after getting aid in Millions (if not Billions)? How highly educated has Afghan become in last 5 years?
Re: Pakistani born British Soldier dies in Afghanistan
foreign aid has not gone directly to the goverment. Usualy western contractors who then employ local contractors e.g. $1M road build package ends up with $100k for afghan contractor. Test taken by western contractor. Big mistake by giving aid like this. Giving plenty of money but badly spent.
Karzai may not have built any universities yet but taliban manged to burn down a few schools in the mean time.
Re: Pakistani born British Soldier dies in Afghanistan
Well then say so brother tahirbhai! and move on. For everything else, open new thread(s) please.
Brother TRD! be more clear about who is horse, and who is high in this thread. After all this talibanic and tribal mishmash, it has become difficult to understand what you are trying to say. Please!
Re: Pakistani born British Soldier dies in Afghanistan
Exactly. SOme go on about how taking arms against other mulims makes you a kuffr but if you shoot thr army, the organisation which implents law of the land, another muslim you are a hero. Need their head checking frickin talibanis.
Re: Pakistani born British Soldier dies in Afghanistan
A British soldier of Pakistani origin gave life for his country. That is an admirable act.
Brits have more to fear from their own citizens. Why kill poor afghans over it?
Needless to say, a young Brit of Pakistani origin gave his life for the policy of the Blair government, NOT his country...which was in no clear danger from Afghanistan.
He died because of a neo-con theory, not because of a clear and present danger.
