Zim pitches are much more similar to aus nz pitches Asif…
remember we lost a test match to zim very recently? … i saw highlights of that match. we were struggling against bounce there as well.
ireland has many players who play county cricket all year long…and i am sure irish pitches are much faster and prone to seam and swing than UAE
and i am not saying we are struggling only because we never played on these pitches..we are low on confidence as well and mentally very weak…but yes the fact that in 6 years we never toured aus and england is an important fact.

and yes i was thinking the same yesterday…azhar ali would be a much better choice than jamshed to see off the new ball on these pitches.
but we need to have right strategy. and the right staregy is to have proper players to open the innings..not sarfraz, afridi, umar akmal or even younis khan.

not playing yasir shah is mind boggling…rahat shd play as he is a better bowler than wahab. whab shd be dropped but wahab can bat as well. maybe that is why especially when you have such a long tail.

We dont have any proper opening batsman who can play very well in australia. I beleive the term flat track bully is more sutied to our baters than indians. They are doing much better than us.

Australia are perhaps not interested in hosting a minnow. They probably feel it is a waste of time playing Pakistan in tests at home. If my memory serves me right we have lost the last 9 tests in Australia.
And prior to the disastrous 2010 series which was marred by spot-fixing, Pakistan were regularly playing test series in England. (1982, 1987, 1992, 1996, 2002, 2006, 2010)

I beleive it is matter of finances . India is giving simalar reuslts as that of Pk. But the revenue gereanted by playing against them is huge. So all Aus , Eng and SA are interesered to play against them

you are right..aus is not interested in having a series with us in aus but that is PCB’s no 1 job..to make sure we get at least one tour every 4 years…that we didnt play in aus since 2008 i think is mind boggling. even sri lanka has couple of tours to aus in that time period.
our under 19 teams are not getting any international tours because PCB has no money…and our national team is not getting any aus/eng tours…it is a disaster. we have many other problems but this is the easiest one for pcb to fix if they show some initiative.

ICC long term tour program is a joke but it can be tailored…i can give you in writing that PCB probably never bothered initiating a campaign to get aus/eng/sa tours…PCB officials dont have that vision plus they know pak will lose in these countries and their jobs will be in danger…so keep playing in uae or sri lanka

I always supported Misbah but now I must say he is the reasons of Pakistani ODI Cricket team Disaster. NZ changed their captain even Vettori was showing tremendous performance then other players but BAZ aggression really changed the entire team. A sad ending of Misbah and Younis
