Why blame anyone else but your fielding. even in the last over there was a clear chance of runout. infact i saw highlights of asia cup, ind vs pak and sachin was running so carelessly to the other end as if the pak fielders cannot throw the ball anywhere near the pitch.

fielding is the third pillar of cricket other than batting and bowling. you have to be good in atleast two of them for a consistent performance. india has two of them covered and that itself has brought india WC.

only fielding is the team effort, rest are personal. work on your fielding guys.

Well done sri lanka congrats for the win.
hard luck pakistan, it was still a very good game though.

For the first time in my life ... i had time but I refused to follow the game (previous game had big part to play in this). This has never happend not even after WC defeats.

For once I am thinking that we can NEVER improve our fielding NO MATTER WHAT. We can never be like SA, AUS or for that matter even like SL.

Sri Lanka deserved to win the series after Mathews played an absolute blinder today - it would have been a shame had we won by say 1 run despite his brilliant knock - and esp. after the way our batters capitulated in the last game

Not only does this team lack quality and mental toughness but they have also been very sloppy in the field

We have now choked twice in back to back games

  • choked with the bat in the last game
  • 247 was not more than a decent total but having reduced Lanka to 130 odd for 6 wickets, one expected them to win from that position

Mathews played the sort of innings under pressure that our two so-called all-rounders - Afridi and Hafeez - can only dream of playing. *Razzaq however had that ability i.e to bat well in pressure situations *(though he was never consistent)

In the end Mathews gem and pathetic fielding cost us the game. Sloppy fielding aside, we missed atleast half a dozen runout chances with ill-directed throws

Pakistan should have won this series 3-1 instead we have lost it 3-1

After getting hammered 4-0 by England and now this 3-1 loss to Sri lanka it's obvious we are a mediocre ODI team.

Playing both Hafeez and Afridi messes up the balance of the team big style as we end up having 2 bowling all-rounders who are both spinners; neither is good or consistent enough with the bat to occupy a permanent batting position. could play a fast bowling all rounder (but we don't have a decent one at present)

**We desperately need a batting all rounder who can make some runs at 6/7

**Waqar said on commentary we are effectively playing with 3 batters - Azhar, Misbah and Shafiq - Hafeez is badly out of form but he's hit and miss as well

i think something ahs to be done for wicket keeping as well someone who can bat besides wicket keeping, theses small small things r actually creating big messes, just imagine wicket keeper coming at 8 or 9 th spot , bc he cant bat well :(

I am a die hard Pak cricket team and in general "cricket" fan. I am saddened by the loss but I am happy for SL team because they deserved to win. SL team was much much better in ALL departments than out team.

means player like Hafeez, Afridi etc are not performing because they don’t want misbah as a ODI captain :hmmm: . . .
