Pakistan vs South Africa 2nd ODI, Feb 07 2007

Re: Pakistan vs South Africa 2nd ODI, Feb 07 2007

for the first time in a long long time, it looked like a good win for pakistan, and just 2 balls short of the minimum overs required for the match to be counted, we get a power cut....

the bookies must be making millions on this....

Re: Pakistan vs South Africa 2nd ODI, Feb 07 2007

It doesn’t have to be deliberate.

But they better not call off the game!!

Oh I feel heavenly. Sigh, missed both Nazir and Afridi’s innings. Moyo, Afridi, Nazir :hula: :hula: :hula: .. Pakistan :hugz:

Well according to cricinfo

Keith Lane our man at the ground tells us that, Buildings around the ground seem fine, street lamps are also on but everything in the ground is down, except the generator power from the TV vans

This black-out is so interesting. I would rather take this controvery over a win. It will be the talk of the town for a few weeks. Sissy Saffies.

Here is what I found

Durban electricity woes continue

**Power failures in several Durban suburbs have caused havoc over the past two days, with businesses and residents severely affected.

According to the eThekwini Municipality’s electricity fault centre, power to Umbilo and Glenwood was cut on Tuesday afternoon after “a major transmission fault”. Most of the areas had been without power since 9pm on Monday night, with electricity to some areas being restored for only about five hours on Tuesday.

On Monday, Durban North, Umgeni, Springfield Park, Morningside, Overport and Inanda experienced power supply interruptions owing to a problem with the high voltage network at a substation in Springfield.

According to Mohammed Arbee, who runs Sky Envelopes factory in Umbilo, power was shut off about 9.30pm on Monday and was restored about 8am yesterday . Power was shut off again about 1pm yesterday and had not been restored by 6pm last night.**

If SA comes back to play two balls only, the revised target will be 5 runs to win on Duckworth Lewis.

this is bullsh*t!! I bet it was either Gibbs or Kallis who did this!!

Re: Pakistan vs South Africa 2nd ODI, Feb 07 2007

It's bs. It's deliberate. Come on 2 overs short of a result, just when South African big wickets fall. Can you say "bad losers'?
