No one has mentioned the handshaking b/w the teams in the beginning of the match, that was truely the high point of the day. I think this is very good post. all points are correct. I was very nervus about Shoab boling and even more, Akram bowling. It is our great luck that they did not get going as much today and even more fortunate that we have somebody of caliber of Sachin. If you ask me I am still saying pakistan bowling is still better than India. they have good bowling and we have good batting. Australia has bot good and that's what wins cups! Indian spinners have to redo magic for such wins.
the point this person (Spock) made about Taufick is reminding me of something. If this is the pakistan wicketkeeper, then I think Taufick was a key reason for India not having won even bigger. Lots of erratic balls Taufic did v.good job of mopping up - otherwise atleast 7 to 10 more boundries for India from erratic bowling and you know what that would have meant!
why you are hitting Tendulkar? he is not only greatest batsman but also #1 gentleman. all people that know of him know this.

A wonderful knock out and come back of Saeed Anwar wasted! SHUCKS!
Anwar bhai and Umer put up a great start. But then suddenly losing two quick wickets in shape of Razzaq and Inzi increased pressure on Pakistan. It was a bad luck for Inzi. He got himself run out. He was looking dangerous; and wanted to do some damage but damn he's so unlucky.
Yoyo, as usual, didn't take any chances, score 25 runs off 42 balls without hitting a single boundary! Younis Khan played average. Energy came in the end when Rashid and Wasim put a great fight!
Shoaib, with his big mouth, paid the price. He bowled off side of stump and there goes a sixer! Pindi Xpress, take my strong advice. Always remember to think twice before opening your mouth. DO THINK TWICE.
Smashing start from Tendulkar took everything away from Pakistan. No body language, no discipline, nothing at all. Though, it was a good come back from Waqar Younis, taking two wickets quickly, but till then confidence among Indian batsmen was higher than ever! India took full advantage of the batting pitch which our batsmens(except Saeed Bhai) blew it!
In the end, both captains agreed on one thing: It's just another game! :)

Well played India. Pakistan jus got beat by a better side. But it was a hard fought match which I enjoyed watching. I have no complaints. I wasn’t expecting Pakistan to win, but they made it close…so good effort :k: The batting was pretty decent, except for Inzamam, he disapointed us once again. If he had stayed out there longer, Pakistan would have had a chance. You can’t blame the bowlers on this. It was a totally batting pitch and there was nothing for the bowlers and anything under 300 was very gettable with a batting line up like India’s. Saqlain or Afridi…wouldn’t have made a difference. But I must say, for the last few macthes, it was Wasim and Akhar who bowled good and Razzaq and Afridi who bowled bad. But considering how Shoaib, Waqar and Wasim got hammered…Razzaq and Afridi did a very commendable job compared to them. I don’t think Pakistan has any chance of going to the Super Sixes now, it will take a huge miracle…which is very unlikely to happen. Well played Pakistan 
Can’t wait untill next time when these two teams play again…I hope its soon.

Funny to see, we raised the team really high, after that Australia One Day Series win in Australia. We even expected Pakistan to win the World Cup.
India played really well. The interesting part of the World Cup is, you only get one chance to face a team (unless finals). This way, you must win your game; which shows which team is more cappable of handling the pressure.
Congratulations to India.
Pakistan should still be proud. They put in their best effort, but it wasn't meant to be.
P.S. "Interesting" to see Shoaib smacked around on his first over, when he claimed he'll get everyone out 1 to tail.

Time for the Shoaib to hang up his cricket boots and take up baseball instead - not as a pitcher but a batter.
If he had another brain cell he could pass as a plant. How many bowls does he need to bowl at the Indian batsmen to realise they are damn good at dispatching the bowl to the boundry if it is pitched couple of feet outside their off stump? Infact, how many bowls does he need to bowl at the Indian batsmen to realise they are damn good at dispatching the over pitched ball bowl at their leg stumps to the boundary?
On current batting display, the Indians can go all the way to the final. If by some miracle Aussies don't make it to the final, the Indians might even win it.

Come on guys,, give some credit to Pakistan. They didn't play that bad a game after all. Saeed Bhai's Century and Tendulkar's dismissal at 98 were delightful;)
Finally our batting line clicked (for the most part), but we couldn't get our bowling effort together. Our drawback was that we were under tremendous pressure and its awfully tough to perform under such circumstances. I still commend our team's effort.

nothin wrong with the way pakistan played, batting wasnt bad, and niether was bowling, maybe just too aggressive in the beginning. Tandulkar was amazing, most of his shots came off decent balls, he was just too good.
First of all congratulations to India they played well and deserved to win. I won't be surprised if they actually end up in the final and win it all. Tendulkar was simply marvelous. Well played!
As for Pakistan well they deserved what they got. No matter what anyone says about the way we bowled, it was our captaincy once again the let us down. But there is no use crying over it now.

Tendulkar has proven to be the all time best batsman in the world. If it was not against Pakistan...it was one of the most entertaining innings I have ever seen. Still enjoyed every shot that he played specially that amazing sixer on the off. Took maximum benifit of the speed of our bowling attack.
Yes shoaib should give up on the cricket and persue another career but sports. He might be good in lollywood movies shaking his booty with Resham and Meera. He is not at the standard playing international cricket. Bowling requires pace and mind not pace and wild.
TAUQEER ZIA should resign now. He is responsible for giving Shoaib this many chances in cricket. He should have been dropped long ago. We didn't use Sami....ahh!!!!!!!!
