i completely agree. we rely too much on heroics and we keep selecting players based on their ability to act like heroes. if you look at this team, it did well because we had consistency from bowling. if we select right batsmen, we can be very good.

true, only misbah knows what he was thinking..maybe he thought he had 4 chances to hit a six...or to make atleast 2 on this delivery and then he would ave less pressure for the rest of the deliveries and could win by a 4. who knows.

afridi's days as a batsman are over. we need more players like steve waugh and less like afridi who perform very very infrequently. we need more consistent players playing for the team. and i hope we get rid of old dead wood players like younis and moyo from odis. these players have played multiple w.cups without delivering. new blood like tanvir should be tried.

i think what he means is that for miandad it was a do or die situation, not for misbah since he had 4 total deliveries to face and thus such heroics were not called for.

Misbah is the real hero here people.......Give him the credit he deserves! Without his innings, the match would never have gotten to this stage. It was over for Pakistan a long time ago!
