Okay whatever. It's over. Hopefully, our team takes some good lessons from this tournament and carry the good things into the upcoming tournaments. They do need to get mentall tougher and play well under pressure. I mean thats when it counts most.
misbah probably thought that he would play the sweep to a full ball on the stump. if the shot comes off, he is a hero because at min he would get 2. khair its not his fault. we should not be all out in a 20-over game against a weak bowling side like india. fault lies with players like younis. we could see how nervous he was when he came to bat.
I see the same pattern repeated in both games with India
Pakistani bowlers doing an excellent job in restricting India to a manageable total >>> top-order batsmen bottling it >>>Misbah bringing us back into the game but this time falling short by 5 runs
It's not a criticism of Misbah because at 77/6 the game was dead and buried but with three balls still remaining maybe he should have played straight and who knows what might have happened
I ain't no CRICKET pundit!
I ain't no CRICKET great!!
I said it in my first mail !!!

MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN.
Come SOUTH AFRICA....we await...
But so does some of our cricketer's fate!
im not gonna get into monday morning quarterbacking, full credit to misbah, if he had just a ounce of support from some of the others, we could have finished with an over to spare
our batting has let us down in the crunch games, its a familiar pattern, and it's not for the last time either
i feel for the bowlers who bowled their heart out only for the batsmen to make an absolute mess of it: how many wickets did india really take, not many we gave most of them away

Mate I have followed cricket religiously for 17 years, read every worthwhile book and source on the game to read from the experts, played myself a lot at school and club level and spend countless hours before the box, the fact is clear. Pakistan are not psychologically strong enough to overcome India when the eyes of the world are on us. There was word before the 2nd SF that they'd rather face Australia for that very reason.
I think Pakistan have done GREAT given the inexperience side they were, they really came closer to the Victory…
**Misbah should play along … He is a smart cricketer… It’s not his fault that he was left with no one at the other end to come… Only if the indian veggie pie throwers had any pace… he would not have been out… although I think it was a wrong choice… One wrong choice and we lost the game… but I see Pakistan becoming a stronger unit in the future and we have always been better than India in more occassions… we just need to be better than them in World Cup now… **

How about Malik making 8 in 17 balls (almost 3 overs) in a match that needed around 8 runs per over.?

i am pretty sure our batting would be no better than any other team. dont forget we could not even score against ireland. our top order playes have too many technical faults that gets exposed in pressure situation. as fraudia said, we look for too many players who can be heroes. instead we need players like misbah who value their wicket. yk played a much worse shot than misbah at a time when it was totally unnecessary.
I had to go to a meeting…darn it…there one guy told us that india were 156 or something…
I thought we had won it for sure…
then I come back …
What a waste…

shoaib malik has scored in all matches and helped us to win many matches. i am more disappointed with players like yk and afridi. these guys are senior players. they should have been targetting to stay at the end.
